BOUNTY - Crimson Dragon (XBLA)

The discussion in the Bonk thread inspired me to do something that would encourage our junior members to stretch their collecting legs a bit.

Crimson Dragon is a retail XBLA demo that was released to the RETAIL Japanese Xbox Live at the end of 2012. The release was in error and the game was pulled after a week, but some copies made it out into the wild. And some are floating around in collector hands as XBLA demos are easily shared.

I'm challenging ASSEMbler members to track down a copy of said demo and post it here on the site. This doesn't involve tracking down dev consoles, breaking NDAs or dowing anything untoward. What it does require is people skills, both to network with other collectors as well as to convince them to trade with you.

First person to post a *working* copy here on the site for members will get a £20 PSN code from me via PM.

What? It was put up on the Japanese store by mistake? How did I miss that? I check the arcade store every Thursday without fail and sometimes in between as well. Man, not happy. Still the game will be arse because it's Kinect only. Now if someone were to hack it for pad controlls I'd be very happy.

 

Btw speaking of the Term what do the XBLA Japanese Store has exclusively?

 

A hell of a lot less than the western store. Many games don't get released over here even if they are from Japanese companies such as Capcom or Sega.

I believe the most recent Sega arcade releases are still Japan exclusive.

 

I see, so not much ehh? kinda feel bad for them i was hoping for some at least though most exclusives are retail only i think anyways what are a few titles that are Japan-only exclusive?

What do you mean, "It was the kinect only version"? Do you mean that they have actually listened and are making a version for controllers too? If so I'm a very happy man.

 

AFAIK it was only intended for the Kinect, not the best controller indeed.

Post the original, unedited, retail version and as soon as it is verified you'll get a PM with the code. That is, unless someone else posts it before you.

I'm not going to encourage PNet piracy, so the bounty is only for the retail demo. If it's a debug build, a hacked up JTAG only build, etc. it doesn't qualify.

 

Just for the record, the £20 PSN voucher is still available.
