If someone downloaded it from LIVE in an authentic way, I'm kinda surprised by the lack of a product listing link for it. xbox.com -> log in -> download history -> Crimson Dragon -> Copy Add to queue URL -> Paste Too bad LIVE changed the URL setup, 'cause I used to be pretty good at digging up links for unlisted stuff back when they didn't encrypt/randomize the URLs (was a pretty neat structure to it)
The product listing is there, but as bearkilla says, they actual file is no longer on the servers. http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/product/crimson-dragon/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d80258410b14 The only way to play Crimson Dragon on the 360 is to get a copy from someone who currently has the unlocked demo saved on their hard drive or memory stick. So far, those that have it don't seem to want to share it. And honestly, that is their right. People are obviously willing to pay for the demo, but those that have it probably see better value in the website traffic that they will get by being the only source of information and videos rather than selling/sharing the demo and seeing information pop up everywhere. There is a monetary value to being the exclusive source of something.
There's lots of stuff that's still fetchable from your Download History, even if it's been delisted. Heck, you can even still redownload the Halo 3 betas and stuff. Anyway, the link you linked isn't what I'm talking about, for instance; http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/P...6d4939d-d76f-41d9-988c-e53c24d63af3?cid=SLink is the link to the trailer's listing, you listed the generic entry.. There used to be a really simply structure to the IDs before, where specific values symbolized trial and full versions of games, DLC1 -> XX and trailer this or that. These links can still be fetched from your history on Xbox.com (and will give you the OOOps! What happened!? treatment if you try to access their product listing, but if you hit the add to queue link instead, it'll send the appropriate command and add the real download to your queue. "6b9d8c00-0000-4000-8000-000058410b14" is the ID being requested for the Crimson Dragon trailer on the Japanese marketplace, for instance. And that's the proper ID, the first 6b9d8c00 part is what indicates what type of download it is, the last indicates what title it is. Crimson Dragon is title 000058410b14. If the first value is 00000001, then it's usually the full version for an XBLA game, and 00000000 tends to be the demo. Unfortunately, you are indeed right in saying that the demo is entirely removed from the server, as I just bothered to set up a simple system of my own to request that the appropriate content ID would be added to my Japanese account's download queue ... but with the server, instead of saying invalid ID or a similar error, it says the content has been removed.
Heh, you're not going to find this on a scenester torrent site. As I said at the start of the thread, even though it was available free to the public for a day, very few people have it. If you want a copy, you'll have to go about it the hard way. Talk to other collectors. Make relationships. Eventually you might find someone who has it and who is willing to trade for it. Unless you have very good connections in collecting circles, you're not likely to be playing this anytime soon.
U might have misread it - he wants to trade for it (i.e. if you have it, he'll trade something for it...) I'm just guessing here, but i think that's what he meant.
Posting the equivalent of a "come at me bro" in a random forum on the net isn't going to entice someone to offer up a rareish game demo. Doubly so if you don't have a reputation for people to look to for reference. And if your "MASSIVE" collection consists of things you downloaded via torrent/Sky/etc. they're not rare enough for a serious collector to care about. If it's in a torrent, it's considered widely available. You're going to be better off spending your time tracking down people who do have copies and working to get to know them and what it would take to trade with them. If you want to go with the public post as your means of reaching out, then you're going to have to list some of your rare items. Otherwise no one is ever going to bother signing up for Assembler just to PM you.
Signed up to ask about this. If someone has this and is willing to get a copy to me, I'd be willing to pay or trade services or what not. I run a rather new gaming site and it would be great to have this as an exclusive story. PM me with what you'd like. I'm in the US, can play this on jtag and what not. Also, are there any other games like this other than Saints Row: Money Shot and Bug Bash Beta that are rare / unreleased for Xbox 360? Actually I can't find anything about the Bug Bash Beta, I'd be willing to trade if it's as rare as it looks. *shrugs*
There is someone here who does own this game but you will need a jtag 360 to run it. I'm not that person but was contacted by them. I refused because I don't have the cash to help pay for the game and I don't have a jtag 360. I'm not going to say who owns the game but if they know you are interested they may get in touch.
I'd only be interested in something I could run on retail hardware (trial or not), but if someone wants coverage; maybe Borman is the right guy to approach? I can cough up a little money if someone feels their download bandwidth was very expensive or their LIVE account comes with the package. (okay, half-joking there, but, anyway, Borman's the one I'd direct myself to, at least, and I'd gladly give him my money to let him give it to a potential seller)
I'm speaking to someone about it. I'm not sure what something like this is worth or what to offer. If I get the game I wouldn't mind doing a full playthrough on video and a write up about it. In case anyone wanted to donate to the cause ;p
