Nice one, thanks :icon_bigg. Expect a pm soon once I've checked what I have lol.

RE and LotR..wow, not seen those!

I got a VF2 vs Tekken 2, its very bad. Not as bad as the 2 tekken games from my piccie above (different games albeit same case).

At Bramsworth..good SMB1 (All Stars) version don't you think? Or do you mean the block throwing one? I have a Sonic 6 too which iirc is the same as the SMB1 All Stars pirate but with Sonic Sprites. I feel a pirate MD session heading my way this weekend!

I love all this stuff. I saw a few interesting Russian carts when I was there ages ago..but wasn't a collector at the time. A good friend lives in Moscow now but he's yet to see anything of note, quite a lot of normal pirates only.

Ya it's an amazing port of mario bros and shows how much the system could have handled IMO. My one complaint? I saw the cart for auction and was desperate since mine has the same cover as that mario world cart, with the mario 64 models jumping around and crap. I spent like $70 for it, only to plug it in and find it's a port of the first game, not mario world :banghead: I still played it quite a bit and it is pretty fun, especially when you consider this game wasn't supposed to be on genesis

Since you mentioned the other one with the crate throwing...ever notice that one screenshot on the back of the box of a level that looks like it's at sunset? Maybe you've played another pirate called Squirrel King, which is a Chip and Dale clone, this mario game in fact, only this is the original one with 2 extra levels the pirates didn't put in the mario version for whatever reason, one of them being that mystery level on the back of the box. Fun fact :p

Btw, why do you have 2 copies of that one anyway?

Man I love chinese pirate megadrive games:dance::dance:

I just found an interesting site that sells a lot of games, including several I've never heard of:

    http://xltrade.ru/570_7.html

Pirates of the Carribean and Finding Nemo are very interesting
A translation through google seems to say that the mario ones are just the All Stars port and that squirrel king hack though..

All those games are for the Portable Mega Drive, not for the cart MD.

Good info lads, cool. Didn't know about those extra two levels, not played the marios or chip n dale through. (2 copies...?...one must have been cheap or in a lot I guess)

How do you get the games on the portable though. I thought it was preloaded with games and thats it?

I'm not even clear on what the portable MD is, neither have I heard of it till today. Isn't it just a handheld Genesis that takes regular carts? or do they have their own special carts?

Edit: A quick check on google shows that it's that tectoy portable, I suppose. But considering that site sppears to be selling those games seperately it indicated there must be a way to play other games on there than what's built in..

It's not the TecToy one, is a typical Chinese pirate portable which has it's own small carts.

Ah cheers. I guess its getting too far removed from the MD proper for me to bother with..much as I'd like to try a couple of the ruskie items.

I'm sure they're out there in regular cart form, just a matter of finding them :)
Either way, I hope some new games are found soon here!

As far as I know, no games are made in russia. Just a lot of them are distributed over there with new art and russian text. All pirates are still chinese. If only you could test the game before buying to see what it is..
Some guy that demonstrated that MD portable on youtube responded to my question of whether he knows what that Pirates of the Caribbean cart is and he said it's just a hack of Uncharted Waters. I'd hate if you ended up spending a lot on something only to find it's a cheap hack :p

When I was in China the store clerks knew me so they always let me change the games on the demo units to see what was on carts. I remember one time I rooted through a bunch of carts just to find a multi-cart that had River City Randsom on it. I also found 2 Chinese Street Fighter varients.

Pretty handy considering a lot of games have similar lables. For instance, I saw several mario labled games, and only 1 was the famicom disk conversion of "Mario 2". The rest were hacks or dupes of other mario games.

If your looking for pirates or unlicenced originals, provided that you speak the language (Big point), China is pretty rediculous. Just too numerous to count. In fact, you'd probaby loose intrest in collecting them because its just so damn common to find stuff.

picked up Top Fighter 2000 (what a ridiculous yet awesome *game*)
and street fighter zero 2000, which seems to be championship edition with a hacked title screen (sf2 ex zero 2000)

will be picking up the others over the next few days

that mario world 64 must be seriously rare, haven't seen it anywhereand no ones ever heard of it.

Where did you get it!? It surely must be rare, yet you suddenly say you got it, it baffles the mind :p
I'd love if you can ever get video of it. Look forward to when it arrives
