Nope and even if she did I wouldn't eat it. I can't stand miso, shoyu (Chinese is fine though), daikon and all that other crap washoku is based upon. I'll never like it.

Well, The car I bought from my personal savings but yeah, it does do a pretty crappy 12 to 14 km/l and the games I buy comes from money I make selling stuff or buying from yahoo for people. From my own wages I get pretty much sod all :crying: Oh the joys of being a married man. I was much better off when I was single

I always just drink a 16 oz...anything more is just over kill and unnessicary. Especially since most espresso places follow the same size/espresso ratio star bucks uses.

Have you seen Role Models? The coffee shop scene is SOOOO true!!!

    Classic!

Yeah, the car may have been BOUGHT with your savings but it RUNS on your wages ;-) A car like that isn't cheap, and being high performance means it isn't economical as you said, and the insurance will be higher. And parts and servicing will cost more. Oh, and in the UK, I guess tax would be higher, too - no idea over there!

Nah, tax is low because I bought a base model then did it up :) A very nice way to get away with paying overt he top tax

Back on topic, Johnny can you recommend any places on the net that sell real Brazilian coffee? I'm interested in trying some of the "real deal".

Sure, that may get you cheaper tax (in Japan) but modifications will bump the insurance up. That's like robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Yeah, Johnny, where's my list of REAL Brazilian coffee brands? :110:

It's not modified. They are replacements for defective parts.

Nope, not in Japan because the engine size is still "officially" 2.0ltr. We have really crappy tax here but insurance isn't that bad probably because we don't have thieving little shits on every corner just waiting to steel your car or failing that the stereo or navi from inside.

Say you bought ultra swish spinning alloys that cost the equivalent of $500 each. What would happen if someone jacked your car up and stole them? Would the insurance company pay out? Or would they say, "Hmm, no mention of custom alloys here, we'll give you the stock $100 a wheel"? Here, it would be the latter, unless you declared it - and if you did, they'd put your premium up.

They'd pay out although it's highly unlikely such a thing would happen here plus I'd never have such bling bling chavtastic crap  There's cool custom then there's tacky shit that most of the chavs (even in Japan) go for.

Anyway, back on topic again, how is Italian or French branded coffee? After all those two places are quite famous for coffee drinking aren't they?

when people ask me for a "large coffee" or "large vanilla latte" for example, i give'em a venti.

And a grande is medium when people ask.

BUT it gets confusing when people ask for a smal....
do they want a short or a tall??

Hehehe, indeed! And good man! Personally, I think the barista in the film had it coming by refusing to recognise the term "large".

French coffee is very nice. When I was there for two weeks in the early 90s, we had a decent French coffee. That was the first time I could drink coffee without sugar, and black even.

Italian coffee is, of course, great. They take a great pride in how they make it, even.

Oh man, Pimpinela! Got to find me some o'that!!!

What is the difference between the three qualities? Is there a noticeable difference in taste? Can you describe it? Is it strength, flavour, or what?

    Found this place:

expensive if you're not in the US, though.

One guy came into my work. He didn't speak a lot of english, mostly spoke spanish. He asked for a medium coffee, so I handed off the cup and said "Grande Drip" to my coworker. He was like "What? No no. I just want a medium." I said "Yes. I know sir, Grande here IS medium." "...oh. you see, in my country it means large" I was like "yes. I know sir. ^_^ A large here is Venti. It means 20 in Italian, because it's a 20 ounce."

What people that mock Starbucks sizing scheme don't realize, is that there WASN'T a venti before. It was short, tall, and grande. Which makes sense, you have a short drink, a slightly taller drink, and then a 'large'. Venti is just there because people asked for a bigger size. So instead of "Super Grande" or some bullshit, they were just like '20 because it's 20 ounce!"

Hehe. Why not just stick to one language, though? I love the comment about being stupid in three languages

Of course, we are forgetting one of the best and most expensive coffees - Jamaican Blue Mountain! Is anyone from Jamaica??

Oh, and French and Italian coffee, whilst good, of course isn't really French or Italian - they don't grow the beans. Brazil is the top producer, followed by Vietnam and Colombia.

It's your friendly neighborhood Red Stripe Beer man!

Beer conveniently placed in a bottle that looks like cough syrup.

I've wanted to try it but never could find a distributor around here.
