Here's a few of the unreleased Saturn games I'd love to (but will probably never) get my hands on:

Saturn Virtua Fighter 3 Revision 1
Saturn Virtua Fighter 3 Revision 2
Shenmue Saturn Version (AKA "Virtua Fighter RPG/Akira's Quest")
Biohazard 2 Prototype (AKA "Resident Evil 1.5")*
    Sonic X-Treme (BUG! engine version)
    Sonic X-Treme (NiGHTS engine version)
    Sonic X-Treme (final engine version)
    Sonic The Fighters
Wild Nines (even if it would be easier to just buy the PlayStation version)
Heart Of Darkness (yes, I know this was released on the PS as well)
    Ridge Racer (see above)
    Cybersled (...and again)
Fighting Force (who expected the potential fourth Streets of Rage to be a PS only title?)
Metal Gear Solid (last PS game, I promise!)
    Pinky And The Brain
    Rattlesnake Red
    Kumite: The Fighters' Edge
Warzard (AKA "Red Earth" - if a Saturn version of this even exists)
Sonic 3D Pool (original bonus level designs for Sonic 3D, before Sonic Team got their way)
Sonic World (is there really more to this out there than just one stage?)

*From what I can tell, this was not the same as the more well-known PlayStation version. According to a former Capcom programmer (and I must apologise for not being able to link a quote), the Saturn version's plot revolved around a journalist/photographer caught in Raccoon City, while the PS edition would have featured the more familiar characters of Leon S. Kennedy and Elza Walker, who was later changed into Claire Redfield. Although it's likely that Capcom were considering many different ideas before finally settling with the now-classic story, I'm not really sure whether to believe this or not. Still, I've included it here in case someone comes forward with more details.

Cyber Sled was by Namco Japan. The PSX version came out but the Saturn version never saw the light of day anywhere. All that I've seen is an early demo shown at E3 1995 I think or 1996. Ridge Racer was also said to be in development but I haven't seen anything on that.

I don't have anymore left. I sold on this board 2 Juiced, 2 Red Star (although one was an assets disc), 2 Combat Elite, and one 100 Bullets. The only one I played was The Red Star, and while it was a very cool game, I decided to pass it on and put the money to other uses. The most expensive one of the group is 100 Bullets, as there weren't nearly as many copies of that (and it wasn't near completion).

The board member with Echo Delta was arsenal, and I may be talking out of my ass here, but I believe he wanted $1K for it

The first issue of SaturnPlus had a news article on CyberSled, though it's been a long time since I last saw this so I really can't remember if they were using arcade screenshots or not. However, being an unofficial magazine in late '95 I'm guessing they could have even been taken from the PlayStation version - not even SSM had any coverage of this game, so it's likely that it didn't get too far. As for Ridge Racer, this suffered a similar fate and the two titles disappeared rather quickly once Namco turned to Sony full-time, so perhaps SSM knew it was pointless even mentioning their existence if both were never going to be completed?

  5. That's right, it was Arsenal. I traded e-mails with him for a while, and even though I don't recall a price ever being quoted (or asked for), I got the impression that it would be somewhat high.

Anathaemia, while it may not be on the Saturn, you will get your chance to play Sonic The Fighters on the upcoming Sonic Gems collection on Gamecube. :-D

Even though neither Sonic The Fighters or Virtua Fighter 3 was released on the Saturn, AM2 still managed to put enough of the "essence" from these two games into Fighters Megamix - well, enough to keep me happy until the unlikely day when they do finally appear! I don't have a GameCube, and the PS2 edition of Gems Collection will most likely be anything but faithful to the original so I won't be playing that in too much of a hurry (though I will probably end up getting it anyway). For now, I guess that I'll just have to stick with Fighters Megamix and emulating the arcade version...

Ok, realistically we need to make a list of what unreleased titles are actually in people's posession and whether these nice people would be willing to dump their game. There's loads of unreleased games, we just need to confirm which ones have escaped into the hands of the public.

    So two definates would be:
Echo Delta (N64) - If he's willing to sell the game, is everyone up for a community purchase?
Take the Bullet (DC) - Same again, would the owner be willing to sell the game?

Resident Evil Zero for the N64 is also a possibility for release, but only as long as the current owner(s) can figure out a way to make copies of the game playable. Also, while it's one of the best known unreleased titles of all, I think we can rule out for now the chance of Biohazard 2 Prototype making an appearance in the near future - unless you consider the rare first beta version of the final game to be part of the "1.5" mythology...

Take the bullet won't be dumped, atleast not the version owned by a board member. I offered him money and undumped, unreleased games but the only way he will ever part with it will be over his dead body. BTW if I had managed to persuade him to part with it, I wouldn't have dumped it either, and in the event I got persuaded I would never dump it without the original seller's consent. I have too much love for Dreamcast to want to dump the stuff, anything else may be on the cards though :)

    Anyhow ...

    I have (or pending)

    PlayStation:

    Deuce

    PlayStation 2:

    WW2 Paratroopers: Combat Elite
    Xyanide

    Dreamcast:

    Flintstones: Viva! Rock Vegas
Heroes of Might and Magic III
    Propeller Arena
    Test Drive Cycles

    Xbox:

    Lamborghini
    Micro Machines (NTSC)
    The Red Star

well it's more a wish list than an possible release list but i can dream a bit. i'm a N64 fan so it's only on this platform that i'm dreaming to see a new game coming from nowhere.

Conker: Twelve Tales (64dd games are undumpable for now so ...)
    Earthbound 64 (Mother 3)
    Echo-Delta
O.D.T. (the game is finished what a pity !!!)
    Resident Evil 0
40 Winks (this game was finished too and i really don't understand why it was not released as magazines had the final version in their hands)

  13. Actually, Cyber Sled was developed outside of Namco. I can't think of the name of the developer for the life of me. The same developer did some RE-like game for the Dreamcast. I thinkit started with a "C'.

I've seen the Saturn version of Cyber Sled. It's real that's for sure. The version I saw was after the PSX version was complete. This Saturn version was buggy but it was there. If only we could see what never was :(

Armada 2 for Dreamcast was ready to the shelves too when it got the axe...

LeGIt, maybe we can change your mind about Heroes of Might and Magic III and Test Drive Cycles? :)

I remember reading about Armada 2 before the Dreamcast was even released over here, I thought it was released!

I hear ODT is a pretty piss-poor game. I think the PC version was released if you want to play it, but I know it's not the same thing ;).
