I've sold two of those on this very board over the past year. I wonder why I was stuck with the PS2 one for so long if you guys wanted to play it. Someone could end up releasing it eventually; the final Acclaim ones are pretty common for unreleased games (except 100 Bullets). After all, Juiced was released before the THQ one came out.

If you guys liked Deuce, you should track down the PS2 version (cancelled), as one was in development after the PS1 version was canned.

  2. Who has it? I have an unreleased beta willing to trade for it, as long as it's not the official DEMO CD. I also hope to obtain another unreleased beta, but I'm holding my breath that I actually get it (I guarantee he won't have this release).

How about... Echo Delta. I would pay $100+ and do the dumping work.

  9. BTW, whether or not listing our wants on this thread will change a person's mind to dump an image, it's at least fun to see what people are wanting (and what games are out there unreleased). I still say let's stick with PS1 games (unless someone does have an image of Deuce for PS2).

Well, if you simply want to know what we want, but not necessarily what we think is obtainable, then id love to see (all systems):

    1. Sonic Xtreme
    2. Biohazard 2 early beta (Resident Evil 1.5)
    3. Resident Evil 4 early beta (Resident Evil 3.5)
    4. Dead Phoenix
    5. K-Project (Rez early beta)
    6. Geist Force
    7. Castlevania Resurrection
    8. gunvalkyrie (for dreamcast)
    9. Rez 2 (Gamecube)
    10. Conker 64 - Twelve Tales
    11. Mother 3 (N64)
    12. Final Fantasy 64 (any code that worked on a commercial n64)
    13. Parasite Eve beta (the original had some sweet bosses and areas that didn't make it to the final version)
    14. Shenmue (for Sega Saturn)
    15. Strident (XBox)
    16. Dragon Hopper (Virtual Boy - the only game that ever interested me on the system)
    17. Resident Evil 0 (Nintendo 64)
    18. Violent Seed (PSX)
    19. Zelda 64 (supposingly completly different from Oot)
    20. Dinosaur Planet
    21. Fear Effect 3: Inferno
    22. Vectorman (PS2)
    23. Raven Blade
    24. Unity
    25. Duality

Those are my top 25 most wanted unreleased games. I would gladly contribute to any effort that was for getting them released.

Yea, I remember hearing about that back when DMC was still in development. Supposedly they were trying to make it different from the rest of the series so that it would feel fresh, but along the way it became so different that it didn't feel like a RE game anymore, hence changing the name and removing all references to the formentioned series.

I want Geist Force so badly !!! Been after that since before the Dreamacst was ever released. I know of two people who own it but still nothing :( Others I'd love to be released are Dreamcast Castlevania Resurrection and Dreamcast Gunvalkyrie. Oh and let's not forget Saturn Cyber Sled (yes it was in production. I posted pictures of it about 1 year ago), Saturn Ridge Racer and of course Saturn Shenmue.

  14. The developer of Cyber Sled still has it on their website for the Saturn. Are you sure it wasn't released in limited quantities in Europe?

No it wasn't. It was about half done IIRC. The Red Star, Juiced, and Combat Elite were all just about done. The issue with Combat Elite is that Acclaim didn't pay the developer, so that one could really go either way as far as being picked up by someone else.

I'd love to pick up a copy of any of those final Acclaim games. (PM me if you have any to get rid of) And with them being a bit more common, that would hopefully mean they weren't as expensive :smt023 . Of course it's not as rare as many things named in this thread, but still enough to be an interesting part of game history, imho.

There was another game too, called Worms Forts: Under Seige. It got picked up be SEGA, although I doubt anyone is missing out on a good game in that case.

Acclaim had a bunch of stuff for 100 Bullets at E3 2004, although I have no idea if there were any playable demos or anything. Would have been interesting to see.

  18. I'm noticing a few problems in the listings here. To go back to the first page, I don't think Black And White was ever in development for the PSX, or if it was, it didn't get very far. Possibly Dreamcast was what the poster meant to type? I know it got fairly far on that consle.

Also, Final Fantasy 64 never really existed. The demos you can find around the internet of FFVI characters fighting in 3d were created on SGI hardware similar to the first N64 devkits. There's a rumor I've seen that the ultra-blocky character designs on FFVII are left over from preliminary development on the 64, but I'm not sure of the authenticity of that. Even if it is true, that's most likely the closest you'll get to a N64 FF.

I'm with Yakumo on the Castlevania Resurrection, though. I wonder whatever happened with that guy who bought the supposed CD-R copy of the game from that dodgy-looking French website last year? Hopefully he didn't just encase it in glass and hang it on his wall. :(
Another Dreamcast release I'd like to see is Soul Reaver 2. It was apparently sitting at a 70-80% completion before the project was axed in favor of a PS2 release. Unfortunately, I've seen neither hide nor hair of this in all the years I've been part of this community. :(

But really, Madden '96? For Christ's sake, why in hell would that be a remotely exciting unreleased game? It's the same as Madden '95 before it and Maddens '97-2005 after it, minus the yearly graphical and player upgrades.

Does anyone know how far along Return Of The Jedi on the NES got? The Empire Strikes Back was one of my favorite NES games of all ever, and I remember really looking forward to ROTJ after seeing some preview pictures in a Nintendo Power magazine, but after that it was quietly killed off.

Too bad we didn't have this sort of support for unreleased games last summer - I remember two occasions where Echo Delta prototypes on the N64 surfaced. One was watched by GaijinPunch and myself as it climbed to $660 on Yahoo! Japan, and the other was in the hands of a board member (can't for the life of me remember who) who wasn't too keen on dumping it, but may have been interested in a sale if I can remember right. Dammit, with 2 GB of storage in a GMail account, why would I delete old emails??

  20. Oh, forgot the rumored English localization of Sakura Taisen on Dreamcast. I think that has to be one of if not my #1 most wanted unreleased title right now.
