She's been posting the prototype to a handful+ groups and been banned for history of scamming... BAFTA is an award that this cart most likely were distributed to, and they've now been alerted that it's now being sold on Ebay.
I hereby stamp this event with my seal of top quality bullshit. I'm pleased with how far this has gone and would like to see something top it.
i knew this would happen, sad to see some people go "mad" with thinking what they own is solid platnium.
From the Wiki article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conker's_Bad_Fur_Day Conker's Bad Fur Day was awarded the 2001 BAFTA Interactive Entertainment Award for sound,[40] IGN's Game of the Month for March 2001,[41] and GameSpot's Best Platform Game for 2001.[42] So a reviewer's RTM copy at best.
Yeah, and Conker was released in March that year, so it may be a final version. But it may also contain level skip or other cheats...
Btw. The Conker prototype was relisted as auction with a BIN of £4000, last time I checked it was at £400 or so, and now it has been removed.
Hi, I live in Manchester and actually met the people selling this cart. I'd gone to their house, which is actually in Bolton, to pick up some PS1 games I'd bought off them on Shpock. I got to have a look at the cart and can answer any questions as best I can if you want any background.
The day I went to the house her dad asked me if I knew much about N64s and took me through to the kitchen. They had a 64 (not wired to a tv) that wouldn't boot up. I'm no expert so I just suggested it could be a faulty power pack. Basically the light wouldn't switch on. Anyway, we went back in to the living room and He asked me if I knew anything about prototype games (which I didn't until all of this madness!) He handed it over to me and my eyes lit up because it was conkers. To be honest my first thought was it looked fake. When you see the label in person it looks home made. It's like paper and doesn't have any sort of glossy finish. It wasn't until I saw all the bafta/rare bits on the back with the Nintendo logo that I started to think it was legit. He didn't crack it open in front of me but ive seen the pics of it open on the eBay/Shpock posts.
They since sold a couple of 64's on Shpock as seen below so my guess is they had a few goes at booting it.
They appeared honest enough to me to be fair and I was chatting to them for a good 20 mins, but that's all I have to judge from. They obviously know their titles (and an idea of what they're worth) as you can probably tell from the games I bought, but, i don't know how much knowledge they have outside of that. They seemed to have a Nintendo bit handy to crack open the cart but that's doesn't say too much. I'm a complete amateur and I've got a couple of Nintendo bit sets!
