I am the lady with the conkers proto type it's not a scam or a blag I have the item yes I've been banned of gaming sites due to a guy who thought he would cause me a lot of uncalled greif I'm not a scammer at all and am hurt by all the horrible comments and threats if anyone wants info I will happily discuss xx
For everyone claiming this is a scam, please provide your proof or else your potentially creating Fake News.
Someone threatened you? Was that on another site? Looking through the comments here, I don't see any threats.
No one threatened her, she got caught out. When I get home I have all the screenshots of the evidence that was posted that proved she tried to scam two members of the Facebook group it all started from, also at no point did anyone say that she didn't have the cartridge they just said the risk is obviously there for any buyer when all these details about the scamming came up, after that the thread died down and most if not all offers where withdrawn as no one wanted to touch it.
The BAFTA cart looks legitimate, the whole V Rally thing was something else completely a hoax. Someone off the back off all this printed a Conkers 12 tales label and stuck it on a V Rally cart, hyped everyone up for a couple hours and then revealed it was all a joke
So, someone here is lying; either the cart owner or the person saying that the cart owner is lying. (・ิω・ิ)
Im not entirely sure where you guys are getting the impression that powering the cart on will wipe it. I mean, it's no more likely than any other official Nintendo 64 flash cart. If I am remembering the picture correctly, this is a standard Nintendo 64 flash cart, not one of those RAREware specials that doesn't hold the game in storage. Now, it could require a dongle of some kind if its like the carts that my dumps came from (although I admit I dont know what they looked like either), but nothing about it screams wiped when used. Not that I don't recommend using caution regardless.
I was wondering exactly this. Like you said, no harm in being overly cautious. But I've never heard of the standard N64 flash carts erasing simply for starting up.
I guess people are thinking of Rare's branded development boards/carts which apparently connected to a PC to access the ROM data and plugged into a console so the game could be tested on actual hardware without actually flashing a game to the cart long-term. So, if you have just one of those dev carts, it would be blank. But yeah, this just looks like a regular old N64 proto.
Yep 100% a normal N64 dev cart, booting it up wont harm it, only time and improper use or storage, this us for use on a normal retail n64 deck for judging for a Bafta.
I think you should make that choice coz if anyone tells you to make the wrong decision you aren't going to be happy Also don't expect much given the possibility that it might have no data if its true it gets wiped the previous owner had probably ruined it
Some knowledgeable people here are telling you the cart won't wipe itself if you try it. So I'd say stick it in an N64 and see whats on it.
