I say let this one slide. If the person hasn't PM'd anyone for help then let it rest until that happens. If the person has then we'll find out in due time. Don't put more effort or attention than necessary. Just adds to the noritiety and causes people to get all in a tizzy.
You guys are not gonna believe this... http://www.ebay.com/itm/conkers-bad...105178?hash=item1ed1562f1a:g:9hUAAOSwJe1Z32cq
That can't be right, right? Who would bid many tens of thousands dollars on an item with grammar errors in the description?
People are taking stabs with false bids just to mess the listing up. They say it's worth the one -1 rep lol
Undoubtedly troll bids, or a combination of shill and troll bids. N64 prototypes do seem to go higher than prototypes for other consoles and it is a Rareware game, but even if it were confirmed working with differences, there's next to no chance that this would even reach 5 figures, US dollars.
Alright seeing where this is going I'm going to put my adult hat on As much as I love screwing with people, some who are quite assertive especially, we need not to fuck around with an auction. I know it's fun, and I've put my fun offers in on absurd auctions as well, but let's not forget to be slightly more civil about this. It's a cart, it's from rareware, it's been opened, and it's yet to be plugged into an N64. It might have a different board as well. It might be new or it might be a dud. We all know the cart isn't worth what they're asking (I mean some lads toss money around like it's free samples of wealth) and let's not screw with it much further. Eventually this will sort itself out or the owner will handle this more reasonably in the near future (or ourselves since we get pretty booty bothered from time to time) Let me know what the max bid is on it afterwards
It's been plugged in and nothing happens. Most people think it shouldn't have any protection either, so it's likely corrupted.
I missed this because I didnt want to read If thats the case then it's worthless outside of the value of a dev cart
I don't think it's corrupted, most likely the CIC socket is slightly corroded and someone needs to pull that CIC out and insert it back in a few times.
Just an update, someone in the Facebook group this originated from got in contact with BAFTA, they are now looking to recover this cartridge.
