There you go, boot it up and see what happens. If it's final (same as released) it's still worth good money - but if it's different to retail (check it alongside a YouTube video would be the obvious way) then you're looking at something that could be worth a big chunk of cash. Screenshots of progress would be appreciated (and convince any doubters this isn't a hoax)
They probably confuse them with the RAM-carts (or on-the-fly via Pc?) that lose the game data once powered off. Not that plugging it in would erase the data though, only plugging it out.
If there is indeed something on the cartridge just buy a 64drive and an Ultrasave from here instead of shipping it to someone: http://64drive.retroactive.be/purchase.php You just plug it into your PC and can dump it that way very easily. Also you can then test the dumped rom on your N64 console. And even if you don't need the 64drive afterwards anymore you can sell it again and still it will cost you less worries then sending your cartridge to an unknown person.
you seem and are a brand new member, are you a freind of hers? cus to me you seem to be either an alt of hers to claim its real, or someone close to her that only made an account to do the same
Didnt luigiblood work on that? insted of having to physicaly dump the cart, he found away to extract the rom when its been loaded into memory of the 64 and dump it through the 64DRIVE
sometimes they wont be errased, their are still traces of data, sometimes a complete backup, to get the rom to fill the eeprom's space, they sometimes duplicate the rom to fill it, or it could allways be a faulty connection between the cart and system
I'm surprised there's no progress updates for this? The only way to stop the doubters is to post some screenshots - but nothing so far... is it that hard to find an N64?
Even if you have a full-time job and three children, it should be possible for you to take your time to find and buy an N64 before next weekend. So then you can plug the cart in, start recording on your phone, turn on the N64 and film that you boot the cart up. If that doesn't happen I think there's very few who's willing to still believe...
She is now creating fake profiles to try and get back in the groups she got banned from saying they are the "new owner" of the cart.
She said she doesn't have the power supply to the N64. I want to help her out but I own an NTSC system. I want to see what's on that cart. Still holding out hope it could be Conker 64. But I also realize, why would it say BFD on it if that were the case?
Realize that people have gone through far more trouble to fake something than putting a sticker on it. Again, not saying it's fake, but whenever someone with a popular game prototype comes in, people need to temper their expectations.
I sent her a pm a few days ago offering to sell a power adapter to her but she said no and that she wants it in one day strangely she should have uploaded the clip by now
the amount of red flags this raises in itself is huge. that means she might be faking it. it's easy to just slap a conker sticker on a proto cart that could be empty. I find it really odd that she won't accept that offer, I mean seriously we don't live in a perfect world, you don't always get what you want, nothing will ever go your way, ever. either she's making up excuses to not test the cart because she knows it's fake or she has no patience whatsoever.
Well, if she's not accepting help nor lifting her finger just to prove this is the real deal, as she claims, then she can't expect anyone to bite... It's getting stupid now. If it's real and worth thousands, and she supposedly could need the money to finance her wedding, it's VERY odd how she dodges all hands reaching out to her atm...
If she's not absolute, completely broke, she can buy a power adapter for £10 shipped and show us. If she doesn't make it happen within days, I bet the sale isn't so important to her after all.
