This is fantastic news. For years I've been told I was full of shit when I mentioned I had seen Saturn CyberSled in action. Finally those idiots can eat their words as here is proof if did exist.

    Excellent work!!

    Thats so fucking cool!
I wonder why it was canceled when they were so far in development?
Btw have you tested it on a retail console?

Anathemia might know this better, I think it was an disagreement between Sega and Namco, and in the end, the later decided to support the Playstation.

Namco actually finished work on the conversion of Cyber Sled and were in the earliest stages of bringing at least Ridge Racer (plus the first Tekken, supposedly) to the Saturn when Sony bought their loyalty - it really is as simple as that! Around the same time, Sony made a deal with Psygnosis to ensure their titles remained exclusive to the PlayStation for six months, and I seem to recall Mortal Kombat 3 being covered by a similar contract, which worked out for us Saturn owners because we got Ultimate MK3 instead. Actually, that's not entirely true, since the Saturn version of UMK3 is just a heavily modified upgrade to the original base code rather than being a port of what appeared in arcades under this name, as seen more in the leaked beta that further shows its true heritage. Wasn't the Saturn version of Tomb Raider II another casualty of Sony having deeper pockets rather than any hardware limitation on the part of Sega's own 32-bit console? Anyway, it's so great to see this once mythical game preserved, and I'd love to see what's on those early variations... I'm still confident someone will eventually share proof that other complete yet cancelled Saturn conversions such as Deadly Skies and Adidas Power Soccer are out there, as I've heard rumours of both these being in the hands of private collectors!

I suggest using Mednafen on Windows instead, or SSF. If you can't switch to Windows I believe you can setup libretro to use a port of the Mednafen saturn core.

Nice stuff! Keep us updated. :)

The console needs to have a chip though in order to boot CD-Rs, or you could use the swap trick.
