David Thomas...Anyone heard from him?

Forgive me im just pissed about all this. I sent the 3 xboxes together, n64freak sent the board to david, trusty sent the board to david, david ordered the 750gb i just sent him a paypal payment for the amount.

After seeing this new link i cant believe what david has been doing!! I hope wizard will hear something back.

 

That's fine, you have every right to be pissed off.

I'm always very skeptical about sending a bunch of items to someone. I'm guessing it was the first time sending stuff out to him, for many of you.

 

I heard from other people that david was a trustworthy guy and i chatted with him a lot so I figured he was a good guy and i was wrong!! I thought sending him my stuff i could trust him now i regret it!! David is the second person in the xbox world to screw me over the first was mr. Slim. I haven't had a good experience

 

Yeah, I had no issues what so ever with David and vouched for him because of how many transactions he and I had which was the root of my initial reaction to all of this. Disappointing and infuriating at the same time.

 

Always send something low of value, a few times. If you get those back you should get the other things back. Issue is, you can't really trust anyone on the internet sadly. When it comes to money, people do weird things.

 

I also found that xbmc4xbox forum thread during my google searches. Already have registered and contacted a user about his issue also. I am trying to figure a good way to do the document, right now I am typing everything into a spreadsheet. I know there has to be a better way to do this.

Here was the start of the document, It should be set as anyone with link can edit the document. Please let me know if you have any problems with it.

Are all members who mentioned dealing with him there members here, or are they a couple more to contact? Probably an idea to note where every person was doing the deal, i.e. which forum.

What was his user name on NG? Can't see anyone with a similar user name. Likewise, there's no current member called dave thomas, davethomas, david thomas or davidthomas on Xbox Scene forums. Does anyone know what happened to him over there?

Maybe someone stole his accounts. And is impersonating him for the last year. maybe the old 'Dave Thomas' is doing something else and totally abandoned modding consoles. Might be doing real work and left it all behind. Someone stole his account and doesn't know how to mod a cardboard box let alone a xbox. some people use the same passwords for all accounts. Maybe this person also has his paypal accounts comprimised?

Thanks for doing the updates, I'm slowly re-reading all the posts and, what PM msgs I have. Once this is all done I plan call him again and try to actually talk to him, also plan to forward a link to the document to him also.

xman on the xbmc4xbox forum also made a post about this on their forum, he posted about this thread and that any users on that site that was scammed might want to read our thread.

Well this does stink. If he was really hurt for cash couldn't he get a minimum wage job at walmart or Radioshack till he got back on his feet instead of scamming people. The way Im thinking is he is living out of his means and is buying luxury goods on honest peoples dime. He might even be scamming the government. This does sound a bit odd. People like this are not truly poor, but greedy.
