David Thomas...Anyone heard from him?

I still doubt we will get all of our stuff. Its seriously been 5 months now... Shit I had a good responses from him with him saying the box is packed up and ready to go. But he couldn't manage to take it to the post office. Or the more likely story is that it was never boxed up. I believe David to be a compulsive liar after hearing everyone's experiences with him he always comes up with excuse after excuse.

 

Without putting David's integrity at further question and perhaps it's just the age of his phone; but if there is so much acknowledged concern on his part of things, why hasn't he signed into Assembler and posted anything to this thread using his phone given his lack of internet? I hope all of what he has said is true. With that being said, I fear more disappointment may come soon if he can't deliver in 5 month old stale promises......

 

Well we've come this far lets hope he comes through for us Wizard i have pictures of my xbox dreamx as well as the clear xbox with the trusty upgrade. Do you want those pictures as well?

 

This all sounds too familiar. He still hasn't fully explained himself. What exactly has caused his absence and lack of communication? We need a bit more information than just "a lot of issues in the last few months". Nobody hears from him after August. Then he responds to XboxSurgeon's message on eBay on October 5th. Says he was in a "complex accident" which screwed up his lower back and wrist but is mainly healed. That he's in rehab but will be out next week. That he couldn't check his email or the forums but he can check eBay for some reason.

What the heck was he doing on eBay if was in rehab? Why didn't he contact me on eBay? That's how I met him. Anyway..

He tells XboxSurgeon not to post the email and for people not to contact him on eBay. Then no word from the guy. Everyone tries to email him, call him..etc, Still nothing. People start to get angry. Look into legal action..etc,

Finally, about 3 months later we get a response from April, David's wife. She's waiting for him to be released, he has everybody's stuff. I thought we supposed to be released over 3 months ago? OK?

Now we get text messages from him. Saying he's home but to give him more time.

I don't know about this. I don't know. Seriously, how many times we've heard him say "I'll send it next week" or "I'll send it first thing tomorrow" How many times have we heard him say "I've had some problems" "I've been busy".

I mean if he has a phone why can't he talk in person? Why only text?

Maybe it's just me but I'm hesitant to send this guy money to cover shipping costs. I already paid for the shipping for his modchips and stuff. He hasn't given me a dime. Fool me once...

 

Yes i completely agree bro. Im hoping he will come through he has alot of my stuff. I will never send any rare stuff of mine to any individual again until i verify for sure there good!!!

 

If it were me, I wouldn't wait. I would keep the process going. If he is serious about making things right, then he should understand and you guys could stop any legal process. In the meantime, protect yourselves and your assets.

I hope it's true. Too many empty promises and he's had our stuff for almost 6 months. Either way I'm glad I found this forum and met some great people.

 

Most of us are pretty great I have to say.

sent a msg this morning a got a few responses back

on the 8th I sent this msg
"Did you get the pictures David"

got no response.

today I sent two msgs to him

9:55am "David need you to respond"

11:30am "You have had 3 days with no response now. People keep msging me to try contacting you again.

then I got a long response back from him, some of the msgs arrived out of order so I hope I got them into place correctly. Seems it would cut one letter off and then move to the next msg

"I am really sick and have been puking for the last couple of days. The pain management doctor I went to prescribed me non narcotic pain meds and I went into withdrawal. I can't get to another pain management til monday. Finally last night I went to the hospital and they gave me a morphine shot and that stopped the withdrawal. but that is starting to wear off already and my back is killing me more then before. This is not a simple thing that is going on with me. Once you take narcotics everyday for a period of time it is not easy at all to stop. I will let you know when I am feeling better enought todeal with this. Right now my life is absolute shit and I would never wish this on my worse enemy. I am also gonna be getting another cortisone shot in my lower back to try and make the back pain manageable until I can get back surgery done. sorry if some of that does not make sense. "I can understand man. But just give me an idea on when you think you might be ready to handle. I got a random phone call from someone in Florida and when I answered they hung up. When I called the number back they hung up again. so first thought was maybe you was calling me from a house phone."

Which he responded back with
"Not me. we have only this phone. The cable and internet is turned off here. I will never call from a different number."

Which I responded back with
"Okay that makes me feel better "

Nothing back from him yet as of 5:49pm

I really did get a random phone call from someone in florida. When I looked online it said it was from the Saint Petersburg, FL area. And was owned by Peerless Network.

I am also saving all the text msgs as both screenshots and also direct text. Just in case they are needed for court cases if he does not return everything. But I want to think he is being legit about the issues, but at the same time I am trying to protect myself and everyone else

 

This is not looking good at all.

 

I am guessing the meds from his car accident is what he is now going through withdrawals on, I want to give him the benefit of the doubt. But at the same time I am not going to wait til feburary to get the packages started mailed back out either. I will try again on monday.

 

We're not getting our stuff back from this guy.

What he needs to do is have his wife (April) get what he has of our stuff (from the list we made) and start getting stuff together. Then she can communicate with us and start getting our stuff sent out to us. I sure hope is not BSING us!!!

I was thinking the same thing. He'll probably have an excuse for that as well.

 

That might be a bad idea. That can easily cause a mix up and the wrong stuff being shipped out to the wrong person/ wrong address. While a X3 chip might be obvious to you, she might not see the difference between a HDD, modchip, or Xbox.

For example, I moved out of state and brought my PS3 but forgot to bring my controller. I told my sister since she was shipping me a care package to put my PS3 controller in it... In the end I received a X360 controller.

While some of this stuff is obvious to us, she likely has no idea what any of this xbox is, whose it is, or how to ship it properly.

 

Doesn't matter because its not going to happen anyway
