David Thomas...Anyone heard from him?

I've been checking other websites for Davidthomas like ISOzone and Neogeo forums and so far all show he hasn't logged in since August 12 or 21st.

 

We need to stop with all the theories. We don't know his physical state. We don't know his mental state, We don't know his financial state. We don't know the truth for sure. We only know that he made a bunch of trades/deals for rare xbox stuff and did not keep up his end of the deal. We are tying to figure out a way to get our stuff back and prevent him from doing this to anyone else.

That's what I reckon, I think he's stealing from the state as well. It just seems the type of type to do that. Probably told a bunch of sob stories and that's how he's living. Usually the state will catch up with him, but it would be good if everyone bands together and does what ASSEMbler mentioned. I reckon you all have a case.

 

Lets just see if this person gets back to wizard which is today!! So will see if this person will help us or better yet see if david will get back to us!! If this doesnt work out and david is just avoiding us then we all need to band together and go after him through legal actions!! Will see what happens first!!

 

I agree with all the stuff that has been said, I want to give him a chance to prove he is good, maybe all the stuff (family member, accident, etc) was true. He could have had a major run of bad luck, I know I was right up in front with the pitchforks and torches also, but after having some time to chill off (which honestly happened when I managed to find a phone number) I want to try and handle this all in an appropriate manner. I plan to call him around noon and then again every hour until he answers either by phone or text msg. If he just ignored me then yeah I will be sending people pm's about getting written statements and see what lawyer we can contact in Florida.

To be fair, this person told you he gets home today - that was all, right? If you were coming out of hospital, most likely not 100% still, what would your first priority be?

You don't know what time he gets home, so constant calling will most likely just annoy and get you ignored. I highly doubt you'd get a reply from him today. Personally, I'd give it a couple of days (say Wednesday), then send a short message saying you know he's just out & hope is recovering, but could he possibly send you a reply by the end of the week?

No one will get anywhere with David if they come off abrasive. Without much legal recourse as many of you have researched and found to be a reality, David holds a lot of the cards in this situation. So everyone gets what they want and need out of it, be it calling him on the phone or otherwise; it would be wise not to further piss him off.

 

got a response back from his wife.

"This is April David's wife. I am waiting for him to be released. I spoke to him already about the video game stuff and he told me that he has everyone's stuff and that he will make sure that it is all returned. I am sure that he will contact tomorrow at some point. There is way to much to explain and I know that when he gets out that he will be worn out and will have a lot to deal with. I understand that whatever he has of yours is important"

I send a response back saying that allI am asking for a response. Just to know he is planning to repair what was done. People are talking about contacting lawyers over this. And if you guys are having tough times I'm trying to help get this all solved so no police or courts have to get involved. You have my number, I'll wait for him to call me back. if no call back by wednesday I'' try calling again. Thank you April.

"Tough times is a understandment. I will let him explain when you talk to him. David is a stand up person but these last months have been a nightmare. You can tell the others also that he has the stuff and will make sure that it all gets returned."

 

I guess that's kind of good. Still holding my breath on this one though.

I'm glad to hear that were getting some contact from at least someone. I hope everything turns out right. Not holding my breath though..

 

If this ends up to be the truth, it sure wasn't easy.

 

Was it a text/email or voicemail?

I wouldn't believe a word of it until I heard an actual voice which would give me more of a clue as to how valid the claims were.

"Hey this is David, i am really sorry about this whole thing! I have really been through a lot of issues in the last few months. I have everyone's stuff and I will return it all to everyone. I just got home and my anxiety level is throught the roof! I am some what shaking a little even writing the text message. I am going to a new pain management doctor today. I promise you that I am not going to avoid you but I need a few days for acclamation. I also have a few other issues to deal with since I have not worked or made payments in months. and right now i am trying to fit all the info from the doc in 1-2 pictures

 

Sounds really promising. I'm not involved but if I was I would be cautiously optimistic.

 

I just sent the pictures of a word doc to his cell phone. took 4 pictures to cover all the information. Hopefully this will all be solved soon

 

This is very promising!! Really hope everything is going to work out well. I'd be more than glad to cover shipping again if that helps David get my stuff sent out. But I'm going to leave the hold on the charge back my bank managed to make untill the product is in my hands. After that I would be MORE than glad to call up PayPal and my bank and reverse the charge back.. I feel that's fair.
