David Thomas...Anyone heard from him?

you never know, I'm still personally a bit doubtful myself but I'm trying to have a little optimism that what David days is true and that we may see what we are owed.
But like I said before, I'm not holding my breath.

 

Maybe I'm pessimistic, but if you read between the lines of his texts you'll see he doesn't intend on actually sending anything.

 

Even if people to end up getting other stuff, at least they could sort it all out and get it sooner. Or maybe even something better

 

You would think he would have kept people's items a bit orginized if he planned on eventually returning them. If he piled all the stuff together without any way to determine later what belonged to who, I doubt they were ever going to be sent back.

He also seems to be somewhat with it that he should probably be able to help his wife for a few minutes to get some packages together.

 

Lets be real folks...

Davids "wife" texted this:

"Tough times is a understandment. I will let him explain when you talk to him. David is a stand up person but these last months have been a nightmare. You can tell the others also that he has the stuff and will make sure that it all gets returned."

This sounds like David himself: Who would say "David is a stand up person"?

If David has been in rehab or the hospital this entire time his pain management doctor would not allow him to become addicted since the hospital would be administering his drugs. If he was sent home and starting abusing his prescription meds then that's a different story (But he just got home right?.....).

It sounds like a way for David to buy more time. Maybe he has our stuff; maybe he doesn't; maybe he can't afford to ship it all out. Who knows. Whatever comes out Davids mouth I'm taking with a grain of salt. Sounds like his same old tricks. Just one excuse after another.

(I'm not saying these are true or false; all I know is that it's a reason to not ship our stuff) Regardless this list is ridiculous.

In October of 2013, he told me that he was fighting over his mom's will. So hopefully she moved in with him before that. Possible he was talking about a step mom or mother in law or something that moved in with him I guess.

This is just ridicolous. I strongly suggest you folks report this to the police because it IS theft. When you made a deal and someone has not followed up their side of it then that's when you know something is wrong. I wouldn't even communicate and listen to his lies. Just seek legal action as soon as possible before it's too late.

 

I still ask the question as to why he has not checked into Assembler since this all has taken place? I mean nowadays who has a phone that cannot access the internet? Could have had his wife sign into his account at his local library or a friends house. There are ways of handling it. If David is prone to accidents and bad bad luck, he should have contingency plans in order for situations like this.

I just continue to think about how I personally would handle it. Now, I might not be in David's situation and I don't expect everyone to feel and think like I do. With that being said, with his history as a long standing ebay seller/buyer, he should know by now what it is like to feel burned as most of humanity has been screwed over or will be so on ebay at some point.

Again, I will end this rant as I always do: I retain that I hope I am wrong....

 

It would be one thing if there was an outstanding deal or two. But we're talking thousands of dollars here.

 

If you could get the wife involved to where she could ship everything to one person,that would be the best.

 

Personally, I'd rather not have what I'm owed shipped to someone else. It just adds another factor into the situation.

 

Correct, David could say he shipped "xyz" to person "a" but in reality only shipped a few of the items. He then puts the blame on person "a" saying that they are stealing or lying etc.

I still don't know why you guys this his wife has been answering you. I'd put money on it that its David.

I agree, there are many unanswered questions that don't add up. We don't have the whole story but we can speculate; for example:

Maybe David doesn't even have a wife; maybe he's become addicted to x drug and fell off the face of the earth. This scenario isn't uncommon but like said we can speculate anything. It would be nice if we some how could get into contact with verified family members or friends via talking on the phone. Not text or email etc.

Personally, I'd write him a letter if you know he's still at the same address. Send it recorded delivery so it needs signing for. Keep it friendly, give him a bit of time but stress you need to hear from him soon.

There's a note in square brackets about pictures - I'd strongly advise putting some pictures on a few sheets of paper of items, labelled (XE CE modchip for example). Also note the table needs work - should all those items really be under SENT? Or are they items BOUGHT? Where someone has BOUGHT an item, they haven't mentioned an amount. So that should be in the SENT column. (Sent $x, Owed this chip.) Likewise, nobody has mentioned value. That's the combined total of items held by David. I have only been able to fill out one user's value, as he's the only one who mentioned what was paid. So, for example, how much are all of Megatron187's items worth?

Two things to note - the small claims court in Florida restricts claims to a maximum of $5,000. Do your items together come to more than that? If so, you might have to file separately. Also, I wouldn't recommend using WITHOUT PREJUDICE on any communications - you're disclosing the information in public, so that would go against you.

 

I'm only out 100 dollars so by myself small claims is not worth my time etc. In my mind I'm not thinking of evidence purposes. I want to get hold of a family member or true friend can fill you in on the current situation. Or perhaps that family member can put a bur in Davids ass to get his shit together and take care of business.

Otherwise the only alternative is small claims/court which I think everyone wants to try and avoid.

 

He's clearly scammed you all and is just delaying now hoping that you lose interest and fall away. Next excuse will probably be his home got robbed and they took all the "packages". LMAO. Get the police involved NOW!
