David Thomas...Anyone heard from him?

This is all kinda sad. I'm guessing we all assumed he was a good guy because of his knowledge and being very active on the forums. I too lost money through him. I original got a Xbox with 1Ghz CPU and 128MB of ram from him, but I had a few issues when installing modchips and such, and he said he would look at it. Sent him back the motherboard I got from him along with a chip to take a look at and I was told that it had more issues then I realize. At this point, not only did I lose money, but he has an Xbox he originally sold to me. I can't really do much at this point, but hopefully all of us get some sort of response from him. He use to answer e-mails almost daily, but then he just stopped sometime in July. I still can't believe it's been so long, as I still hope that he'll one day magically appear on the thread and everything will be fine.

 

I doubt it!! Someone like him obvious doesn't care and is probably really enjoying all the free stuff and money he got from us!!! Im so furious about all this knowing that he came by as a good guy and friend to us!! It just blows my mind how someone can be this greedy and cruel!!! Has anybody found out anything about going to this A@$ home???

 

I'm not sure what going to his home will accomplish? He doesn't have to let you in and would shut the door in your face once you confronted the problem. I'm only out 100 bones so its not worth the trouble of taking legal action. I'd rather taint his name and make sure he doesn't do this to anybody else on the internet.

I know you are out quite a bit megatron; have you tried contacting the hollywood police dept asking for advice on the situation?

Exactly, If we had atleast heard SOMETHING from him since then it probly wouldn't be like this.
Its been two months since that email when he said he would be home the following week.
There has been more than enough time between then and now to have logged back in and reached out to those who he has open transactions with.

This story sounds like total BS. You know why? Because I met David Thomas on eBay. I sold him an xbox action replay. He emailed me after the purchase asking me if I had any other Xbox related items. How he collects Xbox modchips and everything. A few months later I emailed him saying that I had some old xbox modchips: 2 X3ce chips, and X2 chip, a rare programmer and some other modchip stuff. He gave me his hotmail address and lowballed me for $50 for everything. We went back and forth and ended up settling on a trade for a red XCM xbox case. I agreed to his conditions. I sent my package priority mail to him first. I let him take his sweet ass time testing everything out to make sure it all works. Weeks go by and he gives me the run around. "Oh I've been busy" "I'm almost done testing everything". Finally, he says he'll send it out next week. A week goes by and I get nothing. So I write him a long email telling him I have kept up my end of the deal and he should do the same. He tells me his Grandpa died and his Grandma died. Then he says he was in NY.

So that's BS. If he ONLY had access to eBay, then why the hell didn't he bother to contact ME!!

 

Yeah the email from David sounds very fishy. I can smell that BS from a mile.

 

No problem. I felt reserved at first to not forward the email at his request. However I have since not been able to get any further responses from him through ebay. To be completely honest, I have no idea what to think about this all. I am growing with more concern that this may in fact be a ruse of some sort. I typically have a strong and reliable judge of character but the pure time that has gone by with growing resentment from the community at large, my concerns have been leaning to agree with everyone else.

I read that email and in the beginning it sounded convincing but when he says not to forward this message "yeah BS"!! I love how he says hes not going to screw anybody over BS this pisses me off I cant believe him!!! Anthony i read what you said David did the samething to me "oh ive been busy" "my grandma has died" "Oh my grandpa has died now to" "im having family problems" "im in NY ill be back this weekend and ill get your stuff out"!!!! What an A@$!!!!

 

Probably not the best idea in Florida. Property Rights are fairly strong there.



Really hope DT comes back soon to clear this all up would be so sad to see him fall like this. Everyday it gets deeper and deeper.

 

His grandparents did pass away, but if he's active on eBay buying stuff and just refusing to contact you guys by eBay, then it would be safe to say he's ran.

Probably those medical costs (if he was ever in hospital) covered it.

 

I'm sure David Thomas will come back to the forums to tell us the truth. That unfortunately his house burned down (along with all of xbox stuff) or that he was he was robbed by video game nerds. Or maybe he was abducted by aliens. Or maybe all three in that exact order.

Exactly!! I haven't heard from him since August 11th. He said "I will be home tonight and get it in the mail tomorrow". That was like the 4th time he told me he'd send it. I sent him the modchips on July 14th!!

Months went by, he ignored all my emails so I figured he screwed me that there wasn't anything I could do. Then I typed "David Thomas Xbox" just for the hell of it and I found this thread on the forum and learn that I'm not alone. This guy has scammed alot of people out of really rare and expensive video game items. So I created an account here because I am not going out without a fight. I hope you guys will fight too!!!

We can't let this guy get away with it!!!

Most hospitals are 6 months behind in billing. If he was injured I doubt he would even see a bill until next year. And if was in the hospital for 4 months. He might as well file for bankruptcy.
