Hi there, I'd like a Hanzo VGA box/scanliner with the Dreamcast logo and a scanliner cable, please. Shipping is to Australia. Looking forward to hearing from you.

 

I found the part I have been looking for the Scart Sync Separator. I will start to build them from next week...
Featuring Female Scart to Male Scart and separate BNC R, G, B, S cables, all in a nice plastic enclosure.
It separates Composite Sync from Composite Video and cleans the Sync signal for better compatibility...

can be with VGA (HD15) plug instead of BNC...

You mean, then it would work with the upscaler from above? Would be awesome. Could you add an output for audio, too? Then I will definetly order one and a scanliner cable. Only to be sure: Would this work with an LCD-TV or will I get problems because of the KHz on the VGA input?

 

yeah VGA version can work with those cheap upscalers on Ebay, it comes with audio output. it works with LCDs if you use an upscaler, without an upscaler, it depends on the model, not every TV supports 15khz.

I received my Hanzo yesterday. Thank you so much for your time and effort. It is working wonderfully! However, I need to find some kind of AV audio to PC audio plug cable. My TV for some reason only supports a single (PC) like plug-in for its audio in VGA mode. I tried out Soul Calibur, Grandia 2 and Shenmue this morning and the difference to me is night and day. Not sure how I went so long without a quality VGA box.

My TV doesn't work with 15 KHz. But even those cheap upscalers from eBay change the signal to 31 KHz, right?

Does it work with US/EU and Jap scart wires? 'caus I heard that there are 2 different signals in rgb (or perhaps only on the scart structure)

Hi! I'm interested in this wire too! Does this "female scart/male vga" replace the Sync Strike from Arcadeforge?

Does it function withe all scart wires (us/pal/jap)? Because I heard that there was different builds (or signals?)

 

This is not a PCB based product. A friend (then some more) demanded for a Scart to BNC sync separator (RGBS) and it's just a custom unit. So few units for testing the demand, in the future if I decide to build the PCB version, it will have different features. But we have to finish the Kenzei project...

It has a female scart input and a male scart output, in addition to this you can choose(when ordering) whether you want BNC outputs or VGA (HD15-15khz) output. It takes the composite video from the scart source and separates the Composite Sync(CSync) signal.
Sync Strike does the same thing basically. Mine has more outputs/plugs only. Also mine takes power from Scart only, Sync Strike can be used with an AC adapter too. It will have a nice plastic enclosure, not a plexi one like Hanzo.

For the Japan scart, you know it uses different pinout. It can't have both, either Japan or Euro. There is no US version of Scart. We can build a custom Japan to Euro Scart converters too, I hope.
