P. D. don't understand why there are people asking for Hanzo and scanliner cable aside, in theory, Hanzo comes with this function right?

 

Scanliner cable is for other consoles or PC...

Hanzo has a built in scanline generator. However when you change its Dreamcast cable with a VGA one(aka Scanliner cable), it becomes a Scanline Generator for all other systems...

Received my Hanzo today and WOAH!!! Never seen my DC games so bright and sharp! great work!!! Bravo, mec!
Sadly I bought one between the limited dreamcast and sonic pvc sheets.

Now I was wondering if you'll do something that makes the same with older consoles? perhaps just an add-on cable (like the switchable DC and VGA)?
I read the preview posts (perhaps not all 40 pages...) and I've seen the price for the upscalers... TOO EXPENSIVE for me!!!
So do someone have an idea of an alternativ box (framemaster are sure good stuff but not for my wallet) or alternativ (add-on to Hanzo) components (such as arcadeforge stuff, more afordable)?
Most of my consoles are PAL and have an RGB (scart cable) out.

Hope someone can help a lost guy not very aware with all that stuff!

You will need a female scart cable for the video input, explained here:

I will build them if I can find that female scart plug, all the ones I've seen so far are chassis type for soldering to a pcb not for making cables.
I can order them from abroad if someone knows a source.

Cool, when you can get the parts, I would be very interested in such a cable. Instead of adding a DIY Scanlin-Generator to this board, I could use a Hanzo with the scanliner-cable, right?

I am working on many projects at the same time.

Probably I will start to take preorders at the end of this month for KENZEI/SHYNKEN.

 

Yep. Impossible to find a female scart to vga male... -_-'' Does someone know where to find one? Or do we have to wait on Beharius to save us once more? ^^ (I have no skill in soldering)

You mentioned we can customize it? I'd like one with a white bottom, clear top. Hanzo and Dreamcast logo would be cool (does customizing cost extra?)
