Looks great!, nice work!. I noticed the Kenzei looks like it needs external power. Will you provide a power adapter? or if not, what kind of power adapter would we need? Polarity, Size of jack, Amps, Voltage, DC/AC, etc?

Yeah, it has a DC power jack. Kenzei has a power source selection switch, vga pin9 for 5V or an AC/DC adapter.

It can work with an AC/DC adapter like that:
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AC-to-DC-...=US_Server_Power_Supplies&hash=item2a1ae746b4

It requires a 2.1mm x 5.5mm plug, center is positive, barrel is negative. An adapter of 9-12v is OK. Kenzei has its own power regulation circuit, it drops the voltage to 5v for best performance.

I won't include that AC adapter, it's commonly available, I don't want to increase the cost.

    In final tests...

You're just combining sync with an XNOR gate? The output goes directly to the TV/monitor? Is there any impedance matching at all?

Is there an official manual for the Hanzo, describing what the switches do and use of the scanliner cable?

    Thanks

Is there anyone in the united states who can fix my hanzo i said it was working because I really didnt want to have to send it back to turkey. there is a loose connection in the part that connects to the dc causing it to go yellow unless i apply preasure on the cord.

Why did you used M74HC595 not 74HC244?

    It's a 74__86, no?

You should really attenuate and impedance match the sync output.

Plus an XNOR will yield a poor composite sync from typical separate sync sources, including standard VGA timing--not only will the equalization pulses be absent but there will be glitches when the syncs assert/deassert simultaneously.

Hello! I'm interested in the Kenzei as I have an XRGB-mini. When could I order one, and what other adapter would I need? Thank you!

I can't share my schematics, however you can find other versions on the net, e.q. mmmonkey.co.uk has one
    it uses 74hc74 and hc125.

Just to be clear here; do you need the upcoming Kenzei to connect the Hanzo to an XRGB-mini?

Whoa you were able to capture this? I thought most capture devices go all over the place when they see scanlines because they are meant to be progressive. What kind of capture device are you using?

I was curious because I have a VGA cable as it is, but the only its really missing is the 15khz/31khz option. Does the scaler have the khz option?
