You lucky guys in the USA! Tatsunoko vs Capcom will have online play and five new characters (minus one current Tatsunoko character). No idea who has been added/removed though at the moment.
Natal will sell a lot for those who like "modern stuff". You can replace the controller on anything on it (apart from gaming). Be it browsing Videos, music, ... Not to mention voice and face recognition. Anyone who spent money on Blu-ray or HD-DVD on the beginning of those formats will probably like to have this from the start. I think that both Microsoft and Sony press conferences were good. What i don't understand about Nintendo is that they don't create "new" games. It's always Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Mario something,... They are more intelligent and creative than that! Anyway, they are making money so i guess they don't care. Anyway, Sony motion controller is still under engineering development. And we know for experience that most things Sony used to promise don't become a reality. Microsoft has more of a finished product on this matter. PSP for me it's a sinking ship. Too expensive and not interesting. 250 bucks for something that's already years on the market?! Plus GT PSP looks like GT4... years late too. I decided to get myself a PS3 (if everything goes right sooner than i expected) most because it has most of the games i'm planning to play. GT5, GoW3, Uncharted2, and multiplatformers like Saboteur, N4S Shift,... Plus stuff already released that i haven't got the chance, like Killzone2 I would like to get an X360 as well, because of Alan Wake and others... But no Live in Brazil means half of the potential of the console is lost before buying. Not to mention no Netflix, InstantOn,... Again, this is a personal thing. People should buy what they like the most. As for the next next generation, i honestly don't see it coming on the next E3. The PS3 and X360 can hold against PC stuff nicely, while the Wii is a very succesful system. Plus this economic crisis has probably put some internal projects on hold. I doubt that the 360 after announcing stuff like NetFlix, InstantOn, Natal and other gimmicks will have a successor in the next 2 years. Same works for the PS3 with a MMRPG announced for 2010.
1. Yea, Nintendo's was by far the worst once again. I understand Galaxy 2 and Metroid M or w/e will be good games, as their first party games are always good. However, I'm really just not excited about them anymore, especially with galaxy 2 which is taking something we're all done with and just adding some new levels to it. Don't get me wrong, again, im sure it will be a great game. But geez Nintendo, look at your competition (yes you have competition you blue ocean lovin' freaks) and take a clue! 2. PSP is far from dead bud, although sales in the States aren't were I'm sure they wish they were. Also, GT Portable looks amazing. Since when has looking like GT4 been a bad thing for a portable? Last I checked, my iPhone and the DS can't even dream of outputting graphics like this, and it's the only reason why I still have it and not just my iPhone. Because sometimes I want a more console like experience on the go, and that definitely delivers. I must say though, between the PSP and the DS, I'm sick and tired of all these revisions of 5 year old tech. Enough already! 3. You'll love your PS3. There's tons of good games on it, and tons coming. Despite what people say, it's a great system to own in addition to your 360, or as your main system. Be sure to check out Wipeout. Still one of the prettiest, and best handling games I've played this generation on any system, hands down. 4. I'm not much of a 360 player anymore, but I'd still recommend it does have some great games (I just got tired of the build quality and cheap add ons not working well, like the wifi adapter). If you don't have access to Live though or any of the percs like Netflix, that's a HUGE hit. Try the PS3 first, and maybe try a non-Live 360 at a buddy's house before you make the commitment. Very interesting conferences though. I'm very excited for Sony this year, and Microsoft had a very strong showing. I guess I'm just baffled as to how the hell Nintendo keeps selling more games and systems than them with half assed gameplans such as this. Seriously... Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Mario and Metroid are getting VERY tired. Give us something new. It's very sad as the Wii was my first next gen system, and I have over 40 games for it. But after the second year, it's like they gave up and just sat back and relaxed as money flowed in. I haven't had the urge to buy something since Mario Kart. Not to say that games like the Conduit aren't looking good, but next to games on my HD systems... what's the point? Sorry bout the rant. Let us know which system you get, and how you like it!
Again, i'm not saying it looks bad. They promised GT "mobile" the same time at GT4. GT4 was released years ago, so i expected something more. It's going to be a great game, but i don't know if'll want to get the PSP just for that, being the 3000 or the Go. I just said that for 250 dollars, it won't appeal to everyone. And Nintendo will love that. Wipeout HD  Hope they released a blu-ray version though. I play the 360 sometimes (one of my friends has one). I really enjoy it, but no "Live" hits it pretty badly. And it's quite bad, since the console has being officially released here for more than 2 years. And Sony is finally looking more nicely to Latin America... No rant really. I agree with you. The Real is getting stronger again and that helps me a lot. Plus i'm starting to hate having GT5 Prologue factory sealed. :banghead:
Thanks bud . Yea that must be torture. GT5 Prologue isn't a full GT by any stretch, but man oh man is it fun to play. It's worth the wait, trust me. As far as Wipeout HD coming on Blu-Ray, I'm afraid it won't. Trust me.. this is a good thing though. While you can't sell it, you won't want to .
I literally HUGGED my 360 yesterday. I'm getting alot of shit from Destrutoid for being more excited about the 360 getting Last FM and Facebook than any of the games. Microsoft didn't annouce anything pants messing.....and can bungie DO ANYTHING OTHER than a Halo game? Nintendo has some nice DS Stuff coming Assassin's Creed II and Modern Warfare 2 already preordered The PSP just got pwnsome again. Lots of games on the I WANT list now. The 360 will kill us all it's either HAL or Skynet...
mmmh not so great show... good news for GT, even tought no date for the ps3 version, not many interesting games, FFXIII quite still a mistery, no f-zero.... BTW can someone point me to a video with that x360 video thing? i can't find it anywhere...

I hear ya bud, I've been waiting for an F-zero (and a non-capcom Starfox) since the Wii came out. First thing I thought of when I saw Excitetruck was F-zero. But that won't come to light till probably the next Nintendo console. The wii is having too much fun farting out eight billion Mario games, and 'games' I have no interest to play like Wii Sports or Wii Fit. I really loved the little white box when it came out. It just got worse as time went on. It's not lived up to my expectations of it at this point of it's life span. I miss the GC/n64 version of Nintendo.
http://www.gtplanet.net/new-gran-turismo-psp-details-emerge/ >> Polyphony Digital is working to keep the entire game under 1GB in size. This is important because the new PSP Go only contains 16GB of internal memory, although everyone with older PSPs will still be able to buy the game on UMD disc. Thank you Kazunori-san Full interview here: http://blogs.edmunds.com/straightli...kazunori-yamauchi-father-of-gran-turismo.html
Important my ass, does that mean that from now on developers will be doing smaller games to please Go! owners?
sorry, haven't read all above posts but here it goes: no reason to buy/play GT mobile, because I m a simulation freak when it comes to GT, and this includes playing with a proper wheel. The controller just doesn't cut it for this sort of thing, let alone the PSP's awful knob.
I was going to post an epic rant about how the wealth of new hardware revisions and attention being given to what once would have been considered mere peripherals is confirming my worry that catering to a mainstream audience has left hardcore gamers with little to celebrate about this year's E3, but it's been years since this event was thought of as representative of the whole market so I'm not going to bother. Instead, I'll decline to comment too much on the Wii Motion Plus, PS Eye and Project Natal to raise one simple point: this time last year I've a feeling we'd all have been making more fuss about the announcement of a new Final Fantasy, several Mario games, various expansions in the Metal Gear franchise plus the portable debuts of killer apps such as Little Big Planet and Gran Turismo (the latter being long overdue). What happened, and can we ever go back from this point because I surely can't be the only person out there who doesn't care for HD or throwing myself around a room? There's clearly plenty of demand for the "good old days" if retro titles are doing so well on download services and compilation packages, even though most of these are being produced by companies that simply cannot afford to make much else. Still, I guess we can at least celebrate the return of booth babes and Sega having a respectable share of the floor space... not to mention the fact I still can't resist having a good rant in spite of my best intentions!
It seems that a lot of upcoming games and game tech is stuck in a "Catch 22" with the hardcore crowd. They try to create new things and innovate, everyone calls it a gimmick or thinks its stupid. They give them what they used to want, and suddenly it's tired, unexciting, and the cycle repeats. I'm just glad E3 is exciting again, and I love how theres great games on the way as well as awesome tech. I absolutely adore that my systems have become swiss army knifes of sorts. =)
