I think kammedo just dropped us a really big hint. He's using that smiley face in a almost "wink-like" fashion. If something big is coming I seriously will explode with joy. Any playable EB 64 material will be awesome.
I m afraid kammedo was just hypothesizing. We know nothing more than you guys do - as you, we're waiting for Corey's results.
I do worry immensly, however, that the moment Corey gets it working, Nintendo will announce that it's coming out - especially after all this SSB nonsense.
i d purchase that game, so i d be happier if nintendo released it. that would be a sure and legit way for everyone to experience this marvel..
Buying a 64DD game? In 2007? And playing it on YOUR 64DD? Impossible! It wont be the same. Even if Big N releases it, IF the 64DD version surfaces it will be amazing anyway.
Somethings always better then nothing though. If it was "officially" released then at least we'd have 3D earthbound. And the 64DD version would be great as well. But, much lower on my prority list. We still have to find Conker Twelve Tails.
I am not refering to any 3D earthbound. I am refering to the cancelled one. That would be a desirable VC game.
You're an ass! I almost had a heart attack.:crying::lol: As far as it being released on the VC. That would be awesome, but I just can't see Nintendo doing it. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of value beyond what collectors and EB fanboys (like myself) would pay for it, and I suppose Nintendo's argument would be: "We already released it on GBA." (There's actually alot in the GBA version that they pulled from the N64. At least from what I have seen from video - though I haven't played the whole thing.)
I finally had a chance to try the disks yesterday. The first disk didn't boot. It tried to load it and then stopped. The second disk booted properly. But it wasn't Mother 3. It was Sim City 64. The third disk didn't boot. The fourth disk booted properly. But it wasn't Mother 3. It was Mario Artist. It was exciting and dissappointing at the same time. They aren't blank. Which was nice. But I was really hoping for Mother 3. The way the disks are labelled makes no sense. But I noticed that they once had paper labels on the back. That probably had the game name on them. All four disks contain content. They were last modified in 1999. I'm not sure why two of them don't load. I am going to look into it. Maybe I can read the code without them loading. Thats all the time I have right now. But I will try to check back in to answer questions. Later everybody! I'm going t ostart a new topic now that I know that it isn't Mother 3.
darn, i really believed that Mother 3 was on the disks. Now all hope is gone (at least for me), i'm pretty sure we'll never see how M3 was.
damn. sad that it wasn't Mother 3, but still cool finding  at least after these years we finally know what they contained
Incredible! - after all this time at least you now have 50% of the information....but what about the two discs that don't load....could 'they' be Mother 3?
Looks like your seller ripped you off. So much for being reliable Unless he didn't really say they were Mother 3 and you stretched the truth a little, though I don't mean to poke fingers, but the way you worded it from the beginning I couldn't tell if they really were sold to you as Mother 3 or just "M3" which isn't specific at all. Just wanted to see if this can be cleared since it's confused me since the beginning. I hope you didn't spend a lot on those disks being told they really were an unreleased game. If so you're seller deserves a beating
I guess this journey comes to an end. At least we got some other development out of it, like how to dump 64DD carts thanks to Kammedo, which this project accelerated development for.
