A bit pricey, but if you are a Dreamcast nut, you'll love the finish and that it is boxed! Looks superb. NTSC J version (I don't think they came out in PAL)

Does anyone know if the game gear games in the boxes with the purple sidebar are official ? seeing alot of these listed as new and sealed but i`ve just started my game gear collection and dont want to buy crap. thanks

 

I take it the new sealed games are Ms Pacman, Jungle Book, Lion King and Aladdin. These purple/dark pink ones are the US versions.

 

Those are the re-release Majesco version.

Was there ever any solid info on how many of these were produced?

 

It's listed in console colours as 200, but not sure whether they are accurate: http://www.consolecolors.com/sega.html

 

Way, way, way more than 200. Trust me. It was a normal "LE for sale model". Anyone could've bought it. IE: there was no drawing for it.

The only models limited to 200 or less other than the really well known ones (Custom, Stars, etc.) was the original pressing of the Super Black Model. They got so many numbers in the drawing they took preorders and made another batch (presumably of several thousand). I got one of those, and it's been my DC ever since.
