Actually, do you think you can get a cheaper rate for EMS shipping of over 1000 cartridges from Japan to the US? I wouldn't be surprised if he looses money on the shipping... It costs like $30 to send _one_ with that service... I suppose there are cheaper shipping methods, but the cost he's quoted for the service he's using isn't excessive, it's just damn expensive to ship that much stuff overseas...

(Not trying to defend anyone here, I just don't think the shipping quote is being used a profiteering device in this case.)

Hahah bullshit :p It doesn't even cost close to $30 to send one cartridge via EMS to the US/Europe.

Still, it's crazy expensive to ship all these junk cartridges via EMS. Thinking that probably most of them are in bad or very used condition and there will be TONS of doubles of cheap crap like pachinko/koei/rpg stuff, this price is beyond ridiculous. Similar lots are offered on Yahoo Japan (maybe not 1000, but 10x 100 cartridges) for $100-200. It's the remains of game stores, the carts they can't sell...

Shipping 1 cart by ems from Japan to US or Europe is about 12$. Anyway, shipping 1000 of them is really expensive and the price 650$ seems fair to me. I dont know why it surprises some people.

Probably because, at $5000, they should eat the shipping on a lot like that.

If I remember correctly they were kinda cheap feeling. Not as good as the original Sega Saturn USB pads by any means. Perhaps I am mistaken?

by original saturn usb do you mean the ones that came with megaman x pc and etc?

sounds like shoving the 3rd party bs saturn pads pcb into a real saturn pad actually works pretty well, I'm kinda surprised that the play sega pads wouldn't be pretty good though since they're first party?
