According to his auction, there was some collector interest. But £792!?? Bloody hell.

That should be moved to the eBay hall of shame thread. I really can't believe that game sold for so much

Why is that? Supply and demand? If people are willing to that, why shouldn't they? And why shouldn't he take it?

Unless the listing was fraudulent or deliberately incorrect, I see no reason for it going to Hall Of Shame?

Anything that is going for or sold for more than it's worth automatically makes it Hall of Shame material...

Not every sale represents the equilibrium price, this can simply be an extreme outlier. The game is worth $10 mint in box and then $1000 sealed? I do not think so... I'm guessing here, but I suppose the buyer was probably in absolute desparate need of this Nintendo-seal N64-game. Legit sale for $1000? Maybe. Normal demand&supply situation? I doubt it.

The only reason why I'd also put it in the shame section would be because the buyer fucking overpaid and skewed future price expectations. Then again, who are we to judge? Maybe he was just really thirsty for a shovelware N64-game with some plastic around it. Well, whatever ^_^

That's mine, I had to pull that auction because I was playing on it and it died. Fortunately though it turns out my step down was the culprit, the Saturn lives, so it's now relisted if anyone is interested. I don't really want to sell it, but needs must.

    From the sale page:

    Vomit inducing alright...

Also notice the typo. Real genius to miss that.

Insane price but do you think it's legit? What typo though? You can spell "collectibility" two ways.

    Google doesn't think so...

As for it being legit or not, seems to be but that doesn't matter because the VGA is a bunch of shit. I wouldn't pay more for something just because a bunch of guys said it was good and slapped a seal of approval on it. Nope. Sorry.
