GameGavel.com . Its smallish, but growing at a nice rate. Its been around for a year now and is constantly improving, big time.

Nice, simple yet functional, althought kinda empty (only 2 pages of genesis stuff?)

Did anyone here sold something through them?

They just landed a pretty major sponsorship over on ScrewAttack.com, so even more users are to be expected. Really, what happened was a few months ago ChasetheChuckWagon bought the GameGavel name, as CtCW was doing better but lets face it, GameGavel is a better name, so theres been even more members from that combination.

Its also been host so some fairly big auctions (seen them because GameSniped features stuff from there at times), including items from the developers.

    So yeah, its growing :p

ebay is a huge pile of shite. Since they changed their rules so that sellers are forced to offer free shipping on almost anything to generate more income, I boycott them. I only use this platform to buy stuff (which it is still good for, I admit that. Not as good as 5+ years ago, but good), selling is done for me.

So western_technologies is dead now? What a dumb retard that ebay guy must have been. Imagine all the bootleg CD's and copied DVD's that you can buy from thai members. Apparently nobody cares shit about their shops w/hundreds of illegal movies, soundtracks ect.

Several of my auctions got pulled as well and it wasn't always a bloody zombie game. A couple of months ago I wanted to sell my Famicom doubles, three got pulled. Of course I asked why since I don't know what the hell could be wrong with i.e. a Famicom "Star Soldier". Well, Star Soldier is indexed since 1986 and indexed games as well as the banned and 18-rated games must not be sold on ebay.

But you can't click through the index on the net. You have to send them a query which they respond in about three days.
Now what was I supposed to do in the future? Shall I always send queries about harmless shooting games from 25 years ago? Oh God...!

I'm not familiar with this (haven't sold on Ebay in ages); could you tell me a little more about it? What's the index and why do games get put on it?

    It's just a German thing.

18-rated games cannot be sold on German ebay, same goes for DVDs, CDs ect. Don't ask me why, it's a dumb rule and I can still buy Wolfenstein on ebay.co.uk. It's retarded.

The index is a list of games that are considered as too bad to be sold and advertised in public. Meaning you can still buy and sell these games legally, but they are not visibly placed on shelves in stores ect. The many games that are on the index did not get an usual 18-rating, examples would be GTA Vice City (uncut), Quake 3, Doom, Carmageddon (uncut, we got an extra version with dinosaurs for zombies :D).

Banned games like Manhunt or Dead Rising must not be sold in Germany, not on ebay or anywhere else. It's against the law. The list of these games is quite short though.

The index exists for quite a long time and thus we (or I) are stumbling over relics from the past like various indexed NES games -__-

Does anyone here actually like eBay? I have sold plenty with no issues. I have also bought with very few issues. A couple of fake memory cards that I got a refund for, and an item that didnt arrive because it was sat at the post office, thats all I can remember.

My accounts feedback is at 460 so thats the rough number if transactions I have done. I'd be lost without it. I buy so much there.

I've got around 430 feedback and I'm almost done with it. Got scammed a couple of times (3-4x), but the shit they throw at sellers is the main reason for my hesitation nowadays.

Its happened a couple of times, Videogameauctions.com and another one I can't remember. People don't support them even with free auctions and interesting items.

Got the reply to my appeal.

Permanent ban on a 500+ feedback account over a 15 year old saturn.

We've reviewed the information you provided, as well as the information
on file. We have determined that the action taken in this case was
    appropriate.

Your listing was removed from eBay because it violated our mod chips,
game enhancers, and boot disks policy. All fees related to the listing
have been credited to your account.

Mod chips, game enhancers, and boot disks allow video game systems to
play backup or imported versions of video games, which is an
infringement of the content owner's copyright. These devices aren't
    allowed on eBay.

The woman who ran ebay into the ground is going to run for
    govenor of California.

California is already bankrupt and a mess, so why not?

Wait wait. It was region-modded, right? As in, region switch? As in, not a mod chip, game enhancer, or boot disc?

Yep, apparently selling imported game (like liksang) is illegal as it
    infringes on regional copyrights.
