Not user-user but I bought a laseractive from theheathgroup on ebay and they packed it in scrap styrofoam and a half assed box and the unit arrived destroyed.

What follows is the rather fun banter between myself and the seller.

[IMG]So scrap styrofoam in a half assed box are good packing?

Perhaps you and fedex are working together
to find you a clue on how to pack properly.

Mention to the seller that by accepting a postal money order means that he is committing mail fraud. Screw the loss of the cost of the item; he is elligible for a nice $250,000 "bill" from the government... :icon_bigg

Probably trying to get some easy positive feedback before he rolls out the big guns

  5. I can't believe that, surely not, that wouldn't be ethical would it?

...Positive feedback stems from positive business, does it not?

...You can't 'buy' positive feedback can you?

...Blimey learn summat new everyday!

I can't speak for this auction, but anyone familiar with SCEA is well aware that the company made good use of chipped units. Quickest and easiest way to get gray units that played dev discs. Chances are, if you ever saw a gray unit running a dev disc at a show, it was chipped by Sony itself. ;)

Little gaming device that came out last year (I think), trying to compete with Gameboy and PSP... Apparently it tanked...

I wonder if it crashes as impressively as a Ferrari Enzo? [IMG][IMG][IMG]

(For those that may not know, a former executive of Gizmondo totalled a 1 - 1.5 million dollar Ferrari Enzo in California a few days ago:)
