Yeah, but the only thing that stopped me from not laughing was when that I would've expected young Anakin to say something awful... just b/c you lose most of your limbs and get cooked to a crisp doesn't mean you change your choice of words overnight (apparently). The "I hate you!" as he sizzled was much more intense.

Still wanted to see more wookies, and more Yoda fighting.

i say the last scene was extremely moving since it really connects with the first star wars, even then their was a bit of a chil when you hear anakin as vadar make his first breath.

Well, I heard they did that on purpose. Mind you it was the first time he wore the suit and had metal legs.

Agreed. I'd be a bit stiff too if I were using robotic limbs for the first time :).

I went to go see it on Saturday. It's probably the best movie I've seen in quite awhile. It more than makes up for Episode II, in my opinion.

  5. That is true, I suppose - I didn't think about it that way. And yes, once the helmet clicked into place and you heard the familiar breathing, it definately sent a chill down my spine. The final scene was absolutely awesome though, and really does help set the stage for Star Wars.

And what are you talking about, Taemos - this more than makes up for BOTH episodes 2 and 3! And that scary Star Wars Christmas special, too...

Its well known among star wars fans, but many would perfer to act as if it did not exsist such as those star wars movies made for tv(greatsaintlouis knows what im talking about), but from what ive seen pics, its definetly best not seen at all.

  9. Yeah, as sayin said, it's horrifying - just forget I mentioned it.

So what do you guys think is in store for Star Wars fans next? As someone at my office said, "millions of Star Wars geeks... they must be fed". Books and games only? TV series (which wouldn't quite work I don't think).

wait , wait , wait! there's star wars movies made especially for the TV? so that could explain why i have some weird memories about strange star wars histories from the time i was a kid. If i remember right, in one of those movies, Darth Vader removed is helmet and showed a strange looking orange ball that was suposed to be his head. Am i crazy?

I saw a similar one called Droids. It was not about Ewoks, and I only saw an ad for it.

  14. If I recall, there were two live-action movies made about the Ewoks in the 80's or something that I remember seeing when I was a kid. One of them involved some family crashing on Endor, and the little girl getting lost and meeting Wickett and all the rest of the crew, but that's all I remember. There was a Droids animated TV series at one point featuring the misadventures of R2D2 and C3P0 as well.

As far as what's next for hardcore fans, who knows, but there's an absolute mountain of licensed novels and comics out there, plus the multitude of games for every conceivable platform, so they shouldn't be hard pressed to keep entertained while awaiting announcement (or not) of further adventures in the Star Wars universe...

And on a related note, has anyone played the Gamecube port of Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast? Is it worth picking up?

Droids and Ewoks were both cartoon series. They originally played in the mid 1980s, but i caught them on around 8-10 years ago when I was younger on the Sci-fi channel, usually they would play either or before I would go to camp in the summer. They just recently released DVDs for both of them, 9.99 a piece at best buy.

    Yes, i own the dvds.

The other one is the Ewok Adventure that aired on tv in 1984. It too is available on DVD, although it is that crappy that I havent bought it yet.

I certainly remember Droids and Ewoks being very important parts of the cartoon lineup in the 80s in "Canal Cinco" in Mexico.

The Droids cartoon revolved about some people that raced spaceships or something, and owned C3PO and R2D2, right? I don't remember where in the timeline this would fit.

The Ewoks one had some sort of "solar stone" or "sun star stone" or something, that the empire and some evil somebody were after. I sort of remember the music if I seriously concentrate.

The mexican dub, I recall, was above mediocre, which really wasn't very common back then.

A2D2 and C3PO go through a few different masters in the couple of shows. There are 3, i think, different ones.

the Ewoks one has a few different stories too, one of those things was indeed a sunstone thing, too lazy to get up right now though :)

    *MAJOR SPOILERS*

First of all, great movie. Got to see it at a good quality movie theater with no wait. Only downside was a few stupid bitches who were talking during some of the better parts, but they didn't talk through all of it. However, there were a few things wrong with it:

    The Bad:
-The count and Grevous (Or however you spell his name) served next to no major role in the film. The count was killed within the first 10 or so minutes, and Grevous was killed fairly early on. Doesn't help that grevous sounded like a Russian cyborg, and was pretty lame.

-All the characters you wanted to see had little screentime. Chewbacca was only in it for about, oh, 2 minutes. C-3P0 didn't have that much screentime, Vader (In the armor) was only in for about 5 or so minutes (Which barely showed ANYTHING). They didn't even kill Jar Jar, although he (Fortunatly) didn't have any speaking roles and was only there in a few random scenes.

-The ending was pretty sudden, and left a few things unresolved (Mainly about Obi-Wan and something Yoda said. Go see the movie to find out). Pretty much everything you knew happened. No growing up scene for Luke or Leia, no battle scene with Vader in his armor, no nothing. However, even if it was a sudden ending, it was well done.

Summary: Just as good as the origional triliogy, but vader appeared more in TV advertisements then he did in the movie. However, his NOOOOOOOOOO line made the movie kickass. 9/10 from me.
