The Christmas Special by all accounts is like looking at staring at really bad car wreck. The blood soaked highway kind. Just to give you an idea how bad Chewbacca's Father and son are named Itchy and Lumpy.

Ill agree that the movie did a poor job, but ill tell ya what it is. QuiGon figured out how to turn to a ghost basically, and taught Yoda, who informed ObiWan that he would be taught by QuiGon. That makes QuiGon the first ghost, hence why you dont see thousands of ghost running around, while creating one more problem. How the hell did Anakin learn to turn into a ghost? He was never taught, so....

I think general Greivous is an alien cyborg, and not a droid. He coughs a lot, has organic looking eyes and surrounding eye area. I think he is a severely damaged alien who uses the droid suit to stay alive, and the breathing doesnt work quite right so in a sense I think he is a ghetto version of Darth Vader.

 

He is, thats why obiwan peels back his armor to expose his organs that are suspending in a special substance. And when Obiwan fires the blaster, it burns all of his living organs, and travels up to his eyes. The same thing that made Vader's suit made Grevious.

 

I guess I didnt get a good look at his innards. Grievous pulls back as soon as they are exposed if I recall.

And there I was thinking that you were about to say Itchy and Scratchy Still that would be better than Itchy and Lumpy. What stupid names.

I just bought the 2nd season of CHapelle's Show. If you can get it, watch the first episode... it has a "commercial" for Samuel L Jackson's lager. Laughed my balls off.

 

Any of you seen the Clone Wars cartoon on Cartoon Network? It leads right into episode III. In the last episode Grevious kidnaps Palpatine and Mace Windu tries to catch them, and uses the force to crunch Grevious' midsection, hence the coughing and slumping over.

Grevious' voice is cooler in the cartoon show.

Speaking of the Holiday special, it's availible on emule (and yes I got it.) Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. It starts with Chewbacca's family, which is fine, except they speak in Wookie talk. So it's all "Groonk! Growll. Huuuugaaarrhhh!" for like FIFTEEN MINUTES. Also Carrie Fisher sings. There is a mini-cartoon that has Boba Fett in it, and is animated pretty decently (by the guy who did the "So beautiful, so dangerous" part of the Heavy Metal movie.)

 

I like "Clone Wars". It's got some "greek proportion" style of drawing, and the geometry is rather interesting.
The fights in episode 3 actually look like out of the cartoon, in a sense.
And yes, it gives you a lot of the info from between Episode 2 and 3.

 

Did either of you two watch these cartoons on a portable DVD player while waiting for EPisode III to start at the midnight showing? Someone in the theatre I was at did. I was busy inhaling a tub of popcorn. That stuff is like crack.
