Estpolis Denki II NTSC-JAP Prototype

Hello everybody,

I don't know what I can do now with the ROM.
I need to think about it.
I know only one people help me to fix it (JLukas).
Other man (Sinrevi) help me with the game and music.
I consider these 2 men.

 

A teleporting code would not help with getting Lexis in your party.
Uhh... did you use a code to cheat the Excerion in your game before? Maybe if you did, and you placed the Excerion somewhere on the worldmap, now the game crashes when Lexis joins, since there aren't supposed to be two Excerions on the worldmap?

By the way, I'm female. So don't call me a man =P
Yeah, I would like to go through the rom myself, but on the other side I'm already glad to see (and hear in the case of the music) a proto version in action. Since before this proto showed up all there was were just screenshots from magazines =P

This code enables Retry mode and Gift mode in the final version.

 

I put the excerion on the world map. how can i unput it?

With PAR code 70000008 I have this screen. what option i can choose?

The second (middle) and third (right) options don't work !

Only the first (left) option works!

But I know some guys who use nail polish too =P (Okay, but they use black nail polish, not bright colored ones)
Well, I guess my name is also used for males, but I associate it with females =P (I only met one person with the same name as me who was a guy)

So the Excerion might be the problem?
I only see codes for getting the Excerion, none for getting rid of the Excerion.

I also saw a bomb appear in your video right before the crash. Did you push a button to make it appear? Maybe the bomb crashes the game?

If I understand correctly, you 're before the point where Lexis joins, but you have the Excerion somewhere out on the worldmap?
try reloading a different savefile without Excerion and proceed through the game again. (And don't use A+B on the worldmap, since that makes the Excerion appear)



To the other screenshot: Then it seems they made menu options for Retry and Gift mode, but they don't work yet in the proto (or are damaged).

EDIT: I just made the Excerion appear in the final game, then went to get Lexis to join. The Excerion on the overworld got replaced with the one from the event in Treadool (Excerion without submarine or flying upgrade)

 

So the excerion is not the problem?

About the bomb it appear without push any buttons!

 

The final version doesn't crash when I do the same as you in the proto.
But maybe it is still a problem in the proto?

I also tried some things to get rid of the Excerion, but it ended up in either being transported to the underwater map with Excerion, or having the Excerion in a town or other location I tried teleporting to with the meaning of leaving the Excerion behind and getting it erased.

 

Why did he bought up the Excerion anyways? I thought he FINALY did a playthrough without using debug now and if it wasn't possible at least use the regular "walk" debug.

 

How about turning all cheats off before meeting Lexis at the port? Does it crash again there? (make it so there's no "V" before the "Apply Cheats" function)

 

trevormacro, thanks for all you have done. I thought we may never see the content of that jewel at all (or at least I thought it could easily take a bunch of years), you have exposed most of the differences and that is IMO far far better than just releasing useless corrupt rom images. I want to express my gratitude, I think the community couldn't have dreamed of a better person than you to handle this prototype once it got corrupted.

The game developers (I'm guessing you mean Neverland with that)? Wouldn't you need to speak Japanese or what do you want to ask them? Even if you were able to contact them there's no guarantee they'd just answer I think.

By the way, can you check out the sign in the hidden village? For some reason the game says it's Nikoru when you enter the city, but if you enter a building it's suddenly called Koniru =P So I'm interested in what the welcome sign says.

I want to show them the prototype game. And try to explain me where is the real end of the game. And if all these bugs are real or corrupted !

 

You know that prototypes were suppose to bring back to the develpers after the testing? By showing them you are only causing possible trouble and they could even charge you for stuff and asking to destroy it or whatever.

Asking about a prototype of 20 or so years ago just to ask if something is a bug or not is pretty stupid, sorry.

Anyway, the real owner of the proto would be the developer. (or possibly Taito, the publisher?)

Yeah, I didn't know whether or not you pushed a button when you were in front of that sign =P
But now I know for sure.

Most of the villagers seem to be talking about "skill". Maybe they're talking about the Skill slot on the equipment screen? (Skill Slot doesn't exist in the final game)
One of the villagers was saying something about the Foomy Woods.

Any progress with getting Lexis in your party?

EDIT: Go to Leon, then try to leave the castle so you get the event about the stolen Ruby Angel.

I really want to fix the enemies on the world map and castle etc...
I can't see them now I don't have any fight
But there are always enemies before Gordovan West Tower on the MAP.
