Speaking of the Ancient Cave, this was one of the screenshots Trevor sent me.
In the final game, this room in Gruberik is for showing your Iris treasures.
In the proto, there are just a bunch of shelves. The bunny girl is in both the proto and final game. (though the bunny girl sprite was changed into a different woman for the non-japanese releases of the game)

Will continue working on checking the locations later.

    Hi,

The first version of the single patch is created named Estpolis2_J_Proto_Fix_2012-10-30.ips that replaces all PAR codes, all patches
and any changes made to the hex editor. It's cleaner!

PS: One of the black screenshots is most likely B1 of the cave north of Bound Kingdom (that cave you couldn't go in normally because it freezes or something)
There was another screenshot of a nonworking location which resets the game to the taito screen, but I don't know what that could be, so I'll need to continue the list.

Also, while browsing for Lufia and Estpolis stuff I found this.: https://twitter.com/kera_ma_go/status/260028367791869952
A Japanese fan saw Lufiaworld and the comment under it is from someone related to Neverland. It appears the proto was sent out for demonstrating purposes but the people/person/company/whatever who borrowed it never sent it back to Neverland Company? Or at least that's what the translating machine says, my Japanese is not good enough to read all of that.

I also noticed something in the Japanese manual. Selan's battle sprite looks the same as in the proto. Therefore it must have been changed very late in development. Will post photos later.

    @Sinrevi:

    Yes with time :)

How can access to capsule monsters? perhaps data are hidden in the game.

I've been watching this thread for quite a while now, but it's really shown me how great of a community this really is. If I ever come across a prototype or want to do some hacking, I'll definitely come here first for advice.

And thanks to everyone working on this and giving suggestions. It's amazing to see everything that's been discovered in the proto already.
But, for the cave with Tia, is there a possibility that it's not one of the enemies that's glitched, but that the battle formation being loaded is glitched and loading a junk data monster? I've been thinking that might be the case, especially given the corrupt dialog beforehand... but I also have no idea how you would go about testing the theory. Maybe someone with more experience can figure out if this is worth checking out?

I believe the Tia bug is already fixed at the Cave, including the monsters appearing there.

Kind of made for a silly first post. :/

All your codes are not GOOD. For ex: 7EE11A302 one digit in MORE. Relook them.

I gave these a shot in the Japanese release, but they didn't work, so I don't think they'd work too well with the prototype.
But I figured the offsets would be pretty similar in the NA and JP releases, so I did some code-making and came up with these! (Hopefully they work for you, trevormacro, but if not the community might find these interesting.)

Enable Capsule Monsters (In menu and battle): 7E0A7F07
    Switch Current Capsule Monster: 7E119Exx
(xx here looks like it chooses both CM and class - it starts at 01 with Jelze, Class 1 and runs through 24 for Blaze, Level 5)

    ******** IMPORTANT NOTE ********
To get this to work at the START of any game, you MUST use the following three codes simultaneously:
7E0A7F07 (Enable CM menu with Jelze, Class 1)
7E119E01 (Set Jelze's Class to 1 -- you can actually go anywhere up to 5)
7FF16F01 (Set Jelze's Level to 1 -- you can actually go anywhere up to 63, but load times increase)

You will now have a level 1 Jelze in battle! I think it might be best to pop into the game menu first and open the CM menu to make sure the game calculates his stats, but you can test to see if he comes out in battle with these three.

(The necessity of enabling Jelze first is probably because I just ran 30 minutes into the game to grab him, so I probably found the "Jelze only" setting for the enabling CM flag.)

After you do this, however, you can crank Jelze up to Class 5 and enable all the other CMs with their respective codes, too.

    ******** All CM Codes ********
    xx for Class is 0-5 (0 = don't have CM, 5 = final class)
    xx for Level is 0-63 (0 = Level 0, 63= Level 99)

    Jelze

    Class: 7E119Exx
    Level: 7FF16Fxx

    Flash
    Class: 7E119Fxx
    Level: 7FF170xx

    Gusto
    Class: 7E11A0xx
    Level: 7FF171xx

    Zeppy
    Class: 7E11A1xx
    Level: 7FF172xx

    Darby
    Class: 7E11A2xx
    Level: 7FF173xx

    Sully
    Class: 7E11A3xx
    Level: 7FF174xx

    Blaze
    Class: 7E11A4xx
    Level: 7FF175xx
