Well Then. Do you could copy the Controller Pack saves to SD card using the ED64? Do you plan to add SNES Emulator? Does the N64 hardware powerful enough? (My SNES is very old and not working well anymore) Thanks Igor
i have no plan to make any emulators for n64. i can copy controller packa data to sd. probably will be implemented in some day
Thanks for your time. New OS version http://krikzz.com/pub/support/index.php?dir=ed64%2Fos-bin%2F1.20 Nice Wallpaper, the menu is much better but excessive flickering for my N64 NTSC console. Maybe you can make an NTSC-60hz version Again, thanks for your time
Questions: 1) Can I use the OS 1.21 without upgrading the bootloader? I have ED64 v2 2) After upgrading, i turn off the Console (not reset) then wath? I do not understand your last explanation. 3) Can I brick the ED64 if the bootloader upgrade process fails? Thanks for your time
1)you can use new os without bootloader update, but loading speed will be same as before 2)nothing terrible will not happen, system will not be able to reboot os until you will not turn off your system. 3) cart will try to reinstall bootcode if verification will be failed, and will do this untill verification will not be complete with succes. but if power will be lost while update, the your cart will not boot anymore and you shuld be send cart to me for repair. so if you live in place where power supply is unstable, or you sd card works unstable with new os (show error messages or can't load games) then better do not try i tried few tens of times to reinstall bootloader, and always with success
Thanks Igor now understood perfectly I will use OS 1.21 for upgrade. In changelist: 1.20 12.12.2011 1) fixed slow startup Did you mean: 1.21?
Hi krikzz, I have v.1.01. The new update OS works on my ED64? I guess the answer is no. ¿Is that correct? ¿No new appearance also? ----------EDIT--- 3dfxvoodo answered me
guys, remember that any new OS always compatible with old carts. so last os compatible with ED64 V1. old os may not work on new carts, but not visa versa
When running the improved gui on my old PAL TV, I get the garbled picture below. The old gui works tho.... (as there's a PAL version)
