ok, here is my protoboard v1.00. final version probably will be changed a lot :033: or not a lot, will see all new about everdrive 64 i will be publish here. EverDrive 64 youtube video
Lookin good KRIKzz, have you begun work on menu interface? Also I see you have a 6102 in the board, can we assume the problem games will require soldering a 6105 in instead?
i work over low level stuff on this moment. about cic: one cic for all games. this trick not works only for two games as far as i know. i will be able to say more when i will start to work over cart compatibility
Yes! proto board hopefully means we aren't far off from a final. Looking forward to this. I'm hoping it's priced similar to the other everdrives. Although I'm pretty sure the components are a little more expensive.
does using a 6105 provide compatibility with JFG and BT or nah? sorry but I'm not too familiar with n64 protections
If you somehow got a 6105 on there, the games would probably work. The problem is then a lot of others wouldn't. Most games work with either CIC, but those two don't work without the 6105. Honestly I'd wait and see if someone can hack Banjo Tooie to work. JFG was hacked many years ago to work on the old z64 copier, and supposedly it also worked on the NeoMyth sans 6105. That's not surprising considering your PCB has FAR fewer/smaller chips on it than the other ones!
Is this the potential CIC list we should be looking at? http://n64.icequake.net/mirror/www.elitendo.com/n64/usa_boot_save_list.html It possible to install both 6102 and 6105 CIC's and toggle between them?
I'm assuming KRIKzz is using the same type of bootemu that was released back in the day, hence why a 6102 will run all games except JFG and Tooie (they had code that double checked if the chip being used was actually a 6105 or not)
