Just wanted to add a picture of the full panel kit, assembled and painted. Due to the pores of the 3D print the paint seeps in, but at a glance you'd be hard pressed to know anything was modified :). Awesome package, thank you for what you offer the community.

Looks nice, what paint did you use?

Also I have stock in for every one of the sockets, if colored ones run out send me a PM and I can put some more up.

I just recently got the Blinking Light Win (Kickstarter that makes for a better cartridge connection for front loaders) and figured if I'm installing that, I might as well go for RGB, too, but I'd prefer to use the SNES multi-out connector (I already have the NES RGB kit itself). Just to be sure, for the front loader I have to get the screw mount version and drill a hole in the case for it? What are the differences between the two different versions of screw mount on the front page? I couldn't find any information about them other than the Paypal lists them as NES-2 (W) or (U) and NES-3C (W) or (U).

Edit: Nevermind, I just realized that it was USA/International and White/Colored.

Seems you figured it out, yes the screw sockets are what you need for the frontloaders.

Got a few more of the full panels delivered this weekend. These things always make the absolute best looking installs. I won't even mod anyone's Toploader without them purchasing one of these. They just make the finished product that much better.

Got my kit, installed as component video with stereo sound.
Sound works great but video is all garbled. Best description is it looks like an RF signal when there are more than 1 RF devices attached to the chain. I can sort of make out each separete RGB as you see in the pic attached but I've only run 1 composite wire.
    [GALLERY=media, 284]bad composite vid by mooshue posted Jul 15, 2015 at 5:35 PM[/GALLERY]

Tried 2 separate cables and they both work on my SNES and SNES Mini so thats out.

I've tried cutting and lifting pin 21 from the mainboard for composite only without luck.
    I have 2 gnd to the av board, holes 5 & 6.

I've used 5v as shown in the first example pics of the thread.

Any recommendations on what to try next or what I may be missing?

Seems you need to use the AV mod board I also sell for Composite or build your own, the standard board is intended for NESRGB installs.

Getting stock Monday and I've taken some preorders so available quantity is going to be less than 5 as of right now. If anyone wants to preorder for this batch to guarantee a socket then pm me your paypal email and your residing country. I will put an order in for another batch so the wait time for these will better than currently.

About to mod my NES Top Loader, anyone have a link to somewhere showing removal of the original RF module etc? Don't want to break anything. Can't seem to find anything on Google/YouTube.

Seems I have the RGB board and the AV board here to use too.

I assume its a case of desoldering the elements first and then lifting it off?

Remove the 2 screws on the underside of the socket and desolder the AC socket(actually just remove the solder). Then desolder the 3 pins that connect the RF to the motherboard right behind the AC socket. Finally there are 3 ground spots to desolder and these need some heat to do, don't forget to remove the screw holding the voltage regulator to the heat sink.

    Yet, done all that! :)

Seems the PAL board I have differs to the NTSC. From what I can make out, the video pin seems to be where the green wire goes.

For Audio though, can't figure out where the points have moved to and the only other guides I have found online all appear to be different boards as well. Any pointers?

    Cheers!

Figured it out (winged it a bit, but hey, it works!) for those referencing this for their mod - the model is the NESN-CPU-JIO-02 (1993/1994) PAL. I would however in future consider the placement of cables as I now cannot fit the shield (joy! haha) - not sure if it is needed though as I imagine it is only in place for the RF module to limit any interference?

From what I have heard the pal toploaders are redesigned and don't need a amp for composite, all you do is take audio and video from the rf.

Will be keen to order a couple more SNES cable versions in the coming weeks, helder. :D

Yep, seems so - the NTSC board varies to the PAL as you mentioned. You probably could do that, I wasn't sure which pin was which to be honest so a bit of winging it on my end that luckily resulted well. Only the second console I have ever modded and I'm not all that well versed in electronics. I guess it would be possible to modify the console direct to RCA pins but the SNES cable version is just so nice and clean and looks like it's meant to be there...
