First revolution game screens, Yes baby! from: http://www.gameinformer.com/News/Story/200604/N06.0407.1251.24078.htm Yay! :xmas: EDIT: Wow, way sooner than i thought! There ya go, first Revolution game screenshots evAAAAAAAAR. This looks really good. Also look at the revmote changements. if a mod can change the tittle to fit with the edit, it would be cool.
I can understand the sword being on the cover, but the gun??? I wouldnt think Nintendo would make a gun attachment for the Revo. I guess they are trying to impress the casuals at how "violent" the Revo will be. Sure, there will be violence, but that realistic looking gun screams "GTA" to me. Really bad image for the games industry, too. Big ol' Gun on Game Informer might misinform parents of what the Revo will likely be about, mostly. I dont think Nintendo wants to go and have guns in all their games like the Xbox 360 and probably the PS3. I bet some parents also wouldnt like the idea of realistic Revo Guns that they have to aim with, either. But I may be thinking too far into it, since Game Informer is one of the most casual gaming mags ever concieved. EDIT: Well, now it makes more sense. I guess Nintendo decided to make more adult games for the Revo, which I guess is a smart idea. Just hope they arent punkish and trying too hard like GTA and etc.
i dont understand your thoughts about the sword and gun attachements... Whats so wrong with showing a gun, but not a katana? And this is an ubisoft game, not a nintendo game. And, for the next comments, a bit more fanboyish reactions toward the graphics please?
Guns are no big deal. It's the context. No one said squat about police 911 Th eowuldn't allow a game like GTA. This is probably more in the max payne vein. Justified fury. I think it's a good idea, it lures back some core audience. You shot the shit out of everyone in goldeneye. So this is no different. If anything, the remote gets around the stigma of a gun controller.
Think like a parent would. The Gun would bring up issues with them, while a Katana more than likely wouldnt. First off, Katanas are probably hard to conceal, you need to be close, etc, but thats besides the point. Guns just have more social stigma. Guns on the cover, especially a gaming mag cover, making it look like a guns n ammo mag, would cause parents to believe games inspire real life violence even worse. Its also a bad image for a supposed Family entertainment company, too. I know they have adult games, but they do have a certain image. I think they should have more adult games, but not go all out and say "Revo is all about GUNNNNNSS."
I repeat, this is not from nintendo, but from ubisoft. Capcom made Resident evil on the cube, wich is far worse.
Yeah, I know, but how many parents are going to care about who made what? I was lucky to have parents that didnt really care about the games I got, but I remember one story about a kid whose mom said he couldnt play Goldeneye until he was 17. I feel bad for him, but it was pretty funny. EDIT: How about $50 says Jack Thompson has something to say with this Game Informer's cover art? :icon_bigg
It would be amazing if Nintendo made the Revmote attachments in such a way that they're also compatible with its older library of downloadable games. The gun attachment would make gameplay great for older shooter games such as Duck Hunt, GoldenEye 64, etc...
I also heard this rumor, but then again, other people from cacpom said that it wasnt target renders. Who you need to believe, i dunno. And were was it confirmed anyway? In a gamefaq forum?
those graphics look like they ve got some similar shaders to the ones the 360 has. but didn't IGN say that they wouldn't include such shaders?
That looks awesome. I will definitely pre-order the Revolution as soon as stores start taking pre-orders.
