Cahaz, Im not saying it made the game any better, but it did make it more realistic. Im just surprised that Ubisoft isnt putting blood in the game, thats all. Im surprised. Im not crying at the chance there might not be blood, Im just surprised there is no blood in an FPS, when the previous system already has had gratuitously violent games in the past, and coming from a developer that has a history of bloody FPSs.
Blood (almost) always has been and always will be the user's preference. I prefer to see blood spurt out when I shoot someone as a visual indicator of the area of impact and the intensity of the wound. Yes, you can have other indicators, but for me they are not as appropriate. This is my preference. It irritates me at the shear number of customization options that should be in games, but aren't. Many gun games have a blood/no blood option, sometimes with a blood color. Why couldn't this game? Of course, I think that every game released should allow for total customization of the controller and that developers who do not do this are just lazy.
But in GTA, you didnt aimed, throwed and hited things so realisticly, imagine the politicians bashing a GTA game for the revolution a second. Ouch.:crying:
Nanobreaker isnt an FPS, but they have options for several different blood colors. Also, I think you can change it in the middle of a game, and when you change blood colors after killing an enemy, the color on the ground wont change, and you can do this several times and "paint" the walls different colors. Its pretty cool. That game is ridiculously bloody, too. http://www.gamesasylum.com/images/articles/25032005042515-6.jpg Imagine that in 10 different colors. h:
Reading the article that claims that Red Steel won't have any blood, can't see any evidence to back up their claim. They talk about the game, make a statement about how it won't feature blood, then back it up with a completely irrelevant quote from Reggie and some guy from Ubisoft. Dreadful news reporting. That said, it's not like blood makes much of a difference anyway. A lot of gun games don't have blood in them, Time Crisis being one that springs to mind.
I was playing GoldenEye on the n64 on 007 some days ago, and it did feature a fair amount of blood when I shot my enemies. Besides, the revolution includes an integrated rating system if you can remember, which means that innapropriate features of a game can be locked-down without parental consent if the console is "locked"
