I've been active on the site since 2007 - I'd like to volunteer for moderator if I could.

 

Good luck with recovering, everyone. Were you able to deduce if any sensitive information (PMs, etc...) was accessed, ASSEMbler?

And yeah, vB's style system is a bitch, I still have nightmares from it in my days...

 

I guess it would be safe to assume regular users should change their passwords as well? Hope you get well soon. That comes first. It is just a website after all. A damn good one but still.

I try to keep spammers away as much as i can but wasn't online when this happened. Glad LeGIt was online and did what he could to stop it.

If it's a vb issue, i guess we need some help with that. You must take care of you health and not have to worry with stuff like this.

 

Your right. I guess that makes a bit more sence. Still, what good did the person who used this exploit get? I assume the R4 company was spamming adds, but this low-life just deleted information gathered over a week as a collective community. Why do people do things like this?

 

I'd like to also volunteer for moderator ,but I honestly work too much so I don't think I would be much help.

not sure where you're getting this actually, the whole left block has been perfectly aligned for me always, and still is. maybe stop browsing with IE
granted i'd love for the posts to not take 2 screen heights worth screenspace per post but it's not like i'll die to that

i've always been a fan of minimalism myself, and my own forum represents that pretty good too (click for pic)

 

just like to say i am fine with the alignments as is. I don't mind the bigger pictures at all.

Also: To those whom are upset about having to change password.


1.) use a password manager, problem solve.
2.) use a PWM to generate random password, then write down all your passwords for websites in a notebook.
