Fuck it, we can't afford to take any risks. Let's just use carrier pigeons and morse code. On a serious note though it'd be nice to see a move to a new board...just please please please enable mobile support.
I'm on the default skin right now, and don't get the white space problems as bad. Is that fixed for anyone else?
he's just pointing out something alot of us have been asking for, multiple times i might add that would help to view the site on mobile devices, hardly asking for the world is he so why dont you climb out of his arse and accept that some people like to browse on mobile devices using something like tapatalk (whether you do or not is not important), which is what most forums now have support for but you have been totally unprepared to do even with alot of people offering to help you infact you have been offered help alot, plenty of people (Bad_ad and Druid to name just 2) have offered to help you administer the site or too fix problems, install addons etc. and you have either ignored their help or said its something you dont think is worth implementing so really you have only yourself to blame as people have tried to help you
I agree. The avatar are way too big, so are the post count images. And I use two 24'' screen, with 1920x1200 resolution... I also think signatures images are too big (like yours, Druid II ), but some people seem to like it..
There's an option in vBulletin called postbit preference. It can be horizontal, so all the avatars would be across the top of the post, using adblock would reduce the size again, that would leave the rest of the post significantly smaller. The other option is for vertical which is currently in use at Assembler.
Just use adblock, it's pointless to carry on about this when it's obvious assembler doesn't plan to change it.
I have the same resolution as you Druid. I'll have to resize my avatar but the post count image is just as big anyway :/
I've just added the ranks folder to adblock and that's done the trick for me, posts no longer take up the whole screen and that's @ 1024x600 (netbook screen).
:friendly_wink: Suggestion: get rid of that fucking huge signature pic, and the forum would be less cluttered! I have no problem with the user pictures, they've been average forum sizes for ages. I do agree that the icons for having x thousand posts are ridiculously huge, though. A small badge would suffice. Or, as per a lot of other forums, something like a row of 5 stars. I actually use a laptop with 1366x768 resolution, and I hate that a lot of websites require a lot of scrolling because of a huge image. The trend for having massive sliders at the top of the website means that's all I see when the page loads! However, ASSEMbler is NOT one of the sites I find annoying to have to scroll through. Why? Call me crazy, but I ONLY READ ONE POST AT A TIME!!! Why the hell would I need to see five posts at once?! I've mentioned before that there are areas that need improving - not really worth going over them again. Oh OK, you've twisted my arm! Bring back the old smileys ..and the proper shortcodes, e.g. Much smaller badges for x thousand posts Responsive design ...and maybe integration with an app to keep the fanboys happy Eh, I can't remember if there was anything else
