Games you think you'll never see or play? In this hardened corner of the games sphere, im sure there are games that even appear extreme to us no? Perhaps there is a game out there, or some, that you feel because of rarity or probably age combined with country of origin that you may never see or play, perhaps only read the swiftest of mentions of? Do you have such games in your cry list? For me it appears to be Fantasm Soldier Valis for the FM77, or at least that's what made me think of this topic. I'd prolly have to hawk Yahoo jpn for a lifetime, even the top japanese Valis fansites have no screenies for me to umm & arr at Emulation cant count:/
I will never play Dodonpachi Campaign Version... and neither will anyone else unless the guy that owns the one (yes, one and only one) PCB lends it out to an arcade again.
In this age of *ahem* digital information, I'd imagine there would be very few released games that people wouldn't be able to play or experience in some manner. As far as actually seeing or playing a legitimate copy, however... I would cry tears of joy to myself, softly, if I were ever able to hold a real copy of Galaxy Maiden Sapphire or Rakugaki Showtime in my hands. Plausable, yes、but unlikely. I also highly doubt I will ever get to see a copy of ToHeart or ONE ~Kagayaku Kisetsu He~ on the Playstation. They both pop up from time to time on Yahoo! Japan, but I've never once seen either of them on eBay or offered by any importers. I imagine them both to be the sort of "OMG SCORE!" titles you find hidden in a stack of more common games in some back-street Japanese shop.
64DD Game Studio, it was supposed to be used in conjunction with the talent, polygon and paint sudio that came out as you could have imported stuff from the 3 of them, it would have been pretty cool but. I'm sure there is a beta somewhere in nintendos vaults, what I wouldn't pay to have it....
You just stole the words from my mouth, Sir. And being a Galaxy Fraulein Yuna fan myself (the anime, anyway), it's twice so.
What I would give to play Dragonfly, the original Super Famicom mode-7-showcase game where the point of the game was flying around and shooting things. The shooting & dragonfly character were removed and the game became Pilotwings.
I had no idea that there truly was a DragonFly character in that early version. Pics and descriptions from 1989-era EGM's seemed to indicate that it was a flight sim from the get-go, early pics even showed guages and whatnot.
Unless Yu Suzuki owed a life debt to me or something, I don't think it's possible that I could ever find the original Saturn version of Shenmue that he'd planned.
I would just settle for Shenmue 3... I don't expect it to be, but would really suck if that became my answer for this thread.
o yes now that would be amazing or prehaps like said before shenmue for saturn or unrealsed streets of rage game for what ever cosnole :crying: OMG were and what the hell happend to that, only thought there was 2
So I'm guessing this whole conspiracy theory about the game being changed is true? Am I the only person who thought the game was pretty fun? Sure, I was a bit pissed at the ending (and the Flood...), but overall I thought it was definitely worth $50. As for me, I'd love to get my hands on an early copy of Duke Nukem Forever. I'd also probably give up my college fund for early builds of Arena and Daggerfall. I spent the better part of a year tracking down a beta for Daggerfall, but (understandably) no one wants to talk or no one has a copy.
The five games that come to my mind are: ClayFighter Extreme (PS1) Battleship! (PS1) Alien Virus (PS1) Rattlesnake Red (PS1, from Acclaim....Assembler??) Major Damage (PS1)
