This thread covers most of the halo 2 differances: http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8019&highlight=halo There are a few others if you search around.
Yeah, it's not really hard to find if you're actually open to the possibility that consumers were hoodwinked. The thread ProgrammingAce listed is a good place to start, or you can go to IGN or Google around to find the 2004 E3 footage or the trailers that played in summer movies and see the proof yourself. Here's a hint: none of the scenarios depicted in those previews made it into the final game. Judgement Silversword, aside from the similarity of the name, has no relation to Radiant Silvergun. The 'unofficial sequel' you often hear of is Ikaruga due to similarities in the stories of the two, but JS has nothing to do with RSG. Not that it still isn't a really impressive game, because it is.
I know exactly what Judgement Silversword is, and I know it's a homebrew project that got published, because it won the Wonder Witch coding contest in 2001. I've seen the videos, so I know what to expect, and I think this game is pretty damn impressive. That's why I wanted to get it. When I was thinking of games, that I would probably never play, I came to think of Sega and how much games they have canned. In fact, it's probably the number one company when it comes to unreleased games. And they don't just abandon the idea. They develop most of the game, and THEN decide it's not worth their time. And people wonder why Sega doesn't have their own console on the market. We've all seen ShenMue Saturn, Sonic X-Treme and a bunch of other titles. Sega, when launching DreamCast, was supposed to release a whole lot of Model 3 ports including SpikeOut and Scud Race. SpikeOut made it to Xbox, but one look, and you can tell that it would be impressive on DreamCast, but doesn't look all that great on Microsoft's platform. I guess you could call that a unreleased game I would like to play... on DreamCast.
I wonder if it was to do with Microsoft throwing money at Sega for the no Dreamcast version of Spike Out. After all Rent-a-Hero No.1 on the Dreamcast uses a version of the Spike Out engine ! Also did you know that MSR never got a japanese release so that Microsoft could have the exclusive for the XBOX even though both games weren't really connected. As for something I'd love to play but probably never will, it would have to be Sonic The Fighters on the Saturn and Power Drift for the Mega Drive/Mega CD. I would list the like of Saturn Shenmue and so on but so many people already have, so....... Yakumo

I completly forgot about the Lucas Arts' adventure games. Bith Full Throttle and Sam & Max sequels were cancelled. From what I've seen, I can agree that Full Throttle could have some quality issues, but Sam & Max? The trailer is amazing. And it was supposed to be released for Xbox too.
Any of the Super A'Can games. These seem to be worth their weight in gold. But, then again I said that about FM Towns or X68000 games serveral years ago.
- Thunder Force VI on the Dreamcast - Super Star Soldier FX on the PC-FX - Tengai Makyo Namida on the PC-FX - Resident Evil 4 betas on the gamecube - Geist Force on the dreamcast - Shenmue Saturn like everybody
Heh.... Resident Evil 1.5. I would give an arm and a leg for it. Other than that..... I want Shenmue Saturn. I would give my other arm and leg for it.
The one game I want to play is Ultima Online 2, I am a huge Ultima fan and I was just hoping to see what Richard Garriots next game would be like...but now I guess I will never get to see it. Oh and there is a image of that robotech game for n64..I think it was the e3 demo. Oh and Earthbound 64...I hope Corey comes through with that one.
I love Thunderforce V so much that I get the urge to cry everytime someone mentions Thunderforce VI on the Dreamcast. Add that to the list of games I'll never play (dammit, now I'll be sad all through sunday...) It seems I'm also highly unlikely to play any PC-FX game. Oh, and I'll never play Galaxy Fraulein Yuna Final Edition on PSX. Not that rare, but it's impossible to come by in this country.
Sonic Xtreme - Saturn I saw that this got sold recently on some forum (here maybe?) Damn, I wish I had been around for that. Would have gladly shelled out $5K+ for it. Total Annihilation 2 - Dreamcast Don't know how much was finished before Cave Dog went under... but I'd love to have seen it. Kizuna Encounter(PAL) - Neo-Geo AES Though I'm sure I'll play the JP release one day... Gunstar Heroes - Master System Gunstar Heroes - Game Gear Shenmue - Saturn Panzer Dragoon - Dreamcast I'm not sure if TA ever even really started on this, but I do recall hearing about it.
Yep, that was auctioned here: Assemblergames.com from the people who didn't bring you Sonic Xtreme! cough, umm.... video?
