I would say the beta version of alien soldier , but that was scrapped very fast and quickly redone( the orignal hero was human or cyborg) only a few picture surfaced in a magazine, in fact i think it had a different name but can not find the web site that had it. Another though would have to be the sega cd version of akira, it looked pretty intresting.
Nothing out their im interested in that was released, and don't think will ever get to play. But proto wise: Raven blade Donkey Kong Racing D2 (for M2) Ultima Online 2 True Fantasy Live Online Trigun: Planet Gunsmoke Kameo (Gamecube) BC (XBox) Starcraft (the original version that Blizzard scraped due to bad press)
Shenmue III, it was much more complete than most people would assume, but a leak or dump is pretty much out of the question, however. I doub we'll ever see any AM2 game aside from Propellar Arena 'surface'...
Strider and Galaxy Force 2 on Supergrafx RPC Genjin on PC Engine Kuma Soldier on Tetsujin/PcFx ?? Hiten Bomberman on PC Engine Tengai Makkyo 3 Namida on PC Engine ...
I think Strider on Supergrafx never really existed in the first place - the consensus seems to be that the two screenshots floating around on the web were from the arcade version in some stage of development instead. Oh, it certainly wasn't just a conspiracy theory - the Halo 2 we saw and the Halo 2 shown and advertised just a few months earlier that summer were completely different projects. Bungie essentially scrapped everything and started fresh in order to meet their 'confirmed' release date, and the rush really shows in the game. And the human citadel level, , and the Silenced Cathedral, and the fight against Turel, and the other Soul Reaver weapons, and everything else that was cut! While we're at it, the Dreamcast build of Soul Reaver 2 would be nice, too.
http://shenmue.planets.gamespy.com/shenmue3_preview.shtml says something about episodes 1 to 16 do i take that to mean there is or could be 16 shenmue games ?
It was originally supposed to be 16 chapters, but Suzuki decided to cram a bunch of those chapters into a trilogy. It's a shame we'll never see Shenmue 3 as this series was basically the hallmark of the DC era.
One game that I'll probably never play, because it's impossible to get it, is Wonder Swan Color's Judgement Silversword. It's a great unofficial sequel to Treasure's Silvergun, and it rocks. It's actually a homebrew that won the Wonder Witch coding contest in 2001 and got published officially. I guess it's POSSIBLE that I'll play it sometime, but it's highly unlikely. The game I will most defenetly not play however, is Shenmue Saturn, which from what I could see, was in pretty advanced stage of developement. It's a damn shame they never released it in any form.
Morden - if you go to Japan you will probably be able to pick up silversword without too much bother, though it is a little spendy! I would very much recommend you do as it is a really superb shooter, there is nothing to complain about IMHO, though sometimes the bullets flash in really intense moments that pump the difficulty up even more. Don't give up hope, you will play it one day! Definately play it on the swancrystal for sharper graphics so you can see the tiny bullets better. Almost certainly the best game on the WS imho. OT - I would love to get the Judgement Silversword superplay dvd - there were only 100 ever made, I saw it once for about 70000 yen - but is was serial number 001.
That's what I'm talking about. It is possible to get it, but it either costs a fortune, or it involves me going to Japan, which also costs a fortune. Either way, I'm screwed. Maybe I will go to Japan one of these days, but as a tourist, and I'll stay away from any game / electronics districts. Seeing all the amazing stuff and not having the cash to buy it all would probably break my heart.
Same here, id love to give Silversword & Rebirth Edition a whirl, im suprised to hear its quite available in Japan, seems unobtainable in this hemisphere.
Normally I would say that's BS, but since it's coming from you maybe it could be true. I wonder *if* that person sold it if he would ask $4,000 or more for it.
