At the first of the year I may try to sell pre-populated boards. Depending on how many people are interested will determine the price. Right now just cost in parts in small quantities is around $32. The 1.2v and 3.3v vrefs on the QSB are not cheap. This price does not include assembly or testing etc. So at low quantities I'm thinking the price will be around $75. This will included everything you need, including the 2mm screws required to hold the heatsink on. If you are interested just send a reply in this thread.

Your Wasp boards, allows for both SD loading and use of the original DVD drive at the same time, right? Does it still work perfectly fine with original games of all regions? I have no interest in pirating games, so allowing originals to be played is essential to me. The SD-reading is primarily interesting for homebrew like Gameboy Interface.
This seems like it works exactly like that version of the MegaDrive (terribly confusing name), that still allowed the DVD drive to still work, but I just want to make sure :)

Also, as for the GCvideo, is the project considered complete? By that I mean, does it display every 480p game perfectly without glitches? I'm aware that deinterlacing 480i titles look pretty bad, but that's to be expected :)
The same question also applies to the Wii HDMI board you're working on :) I could see myself installing these in my systems in the near future :)

I have updated the first post. Check it out :)

I have no idea why use used the term megadrive. But yes my two QSB's replicated the actions of a MegaDrive V4. So it allows for both SD loading and DVD usage/DVD audio streaming as well o_O. I know the SD loader is region free, not sure if the DVD drive is without a xeno? I've never tried. I designed my wasp + hdmi stuff to mounted on the same gamecube. I do not think my HDMI mod would work with a mega's MegaDrive V4 since they would both sit directly below the DVD drive.

Small update. The wasp/WKF uses an ugly SD card reader box. I've designed a board that will be soldered directly to the bottom of the motherboard. It uses a MicroSD push/pull style. The sd will sit directly in the middle below the memory card slots.

I'll post up pictures once I get one back from osh park.

I got that board back awhile ago and after doing a test fit; I'm not sure what I was measuring when I first designed it. But it was way wrong. And the FCC connector was on the wrong side  So I made a new board. I got it back a week ago or so. I'm getting ready to do a full cube work up, HDMI, Wasp and this addon board. I should have something soon.

You should do a version that sticks out the back instead. That would be neater IMO :)

But far less accessible for some. I'd personally way rather have mine in the front.

Most people probably wouldn't need to replace the SD card very often though. Not that the GameCube is a piece of art, but having a SD card sticking out won't make it look any better :)

You will have to pull the SD card to boot from the DVD drive. So that is kind of my thinking. This is a micro sd btw. so the cut out will be small.

I guess that's specific to your solution then?

With megalomaniac's "Megadrive" board you don't have to remove the SD card from WKF/Wasp to use DVD drive.
