The story mode worries me. I hope it's not another SFV where story mode does not resemble an arcade mode. But there's a time trail mode so...

I smell another "SNK hard" boss fight on my hands. Granted it's just a costume but he still looks pretty tough.

 

I didn't even see that one in my feed I just got my preorder completely paid off and I can't wait to play this. SFV has been such a disappointment.
I'm most excited about the new characters. KOF didn't have many good new characters in the Ash Saga....which never happened :3

I think the KOF XIV bosses are some dude named Antonov and a Monster of some kind.

 

The Demo was a PAIN to download. There's a banner for it, I went to it said it wasn't available. I tell Sony, Banner vanishes. Still no demo, to get the Demo you had to look up the game and scroll down on the game page until you found the demo.

So here is my first play of KOF XIV Video does not do justice to how fast the game is. It's at least two times faster than KOF XIII

 

I have to say it seems interesting. I get some SF Alpha vibes mixed with kof 2000.

More Gameplay fresh off my PS4

 

720p 60fps HQ recording with AI at max difficulty. Game seems cool, but things do not seem to combo or follow up as before

 

I really like how fast it is. Aside from Wanna be Beat, I like the new characters. King of Dinosaurs is fun to use, Sylvie is awesome and Nelson may be the best Fighting game Boxer ever.

 

when it'll be cheap i'll take it up, so far looks good but i'm more of a K'/Terry player and not being able to play with them made me a bit suspicious. Also pulling moves on pad seems a bit unresponsive.

Hope i had a friend to rent it from lol

Wow, there's so much to learn...went to go pick it up at my usual store but they either aren't getting it or just hadn't stocked it yet. If not there tomorrow I guess it's amazon time.

SO KOF XIV thoughts?

I had to bump the difficulty way up for the AI to give me any kind of challenge.
Antonov is basically Mr Satan from Dragon Ball.
Verse the Final Boss is not worthy of being an SNK Boss. He's not anywhere near Cheap, His moves do tons of damage but you won't be continuing on him until you throw the controller at your TV.
The New Characters are good I've spent time with 7 of them. Kikuri has the makings of a fan favorite, the South America team is great, and Hein Geese's Butler is a beast.
The game is FAST REALLY FAST
It's weird there's no pre title screen intro, That comes when you start Story mode for the first time.
Story mode is arcade mode
The Trophies seem fair might be an easy platinum.
This game is getting too much shit for it's graphics. I think it looks better than SFV.
