The Red Star (PS2) - Very well made beat-em up/shoot-em up. If it had a bit more flair in the art and audio, I would have considered it Treasure quality. It certainly has the difficulty to match any of Treasures classics.
I just played Tomb Raider 2013 again. Easily one of the best games I have ever played but I hate that there really isn't anything to do after beating the game... just collect items if you didn't get them all already and a few random enemy encounters. Other that, it's dead after you finish it. Kinda sad since it's so much fun to play. But at least the queen of games is back...
I just finished Project X Zone in time to play the new Zelda game when I get it today. Project X Zone was not that good...
Just finished Heart of Darkness on the PS1 the other day. Tough as hell in my opinion, ending was a little disappointing but glad to tick it off my list at long last!
Mafia II on PC. Could be so much better. Instead it's short and average overall. I don't even understand why they even bothered to make this an open world game.
[h=1][/h]Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers on 3ds, after weeks of fusing helps with rakukaja, sukakaja, etc. Finally finished the boss encounter at lunchtime. Extra game unlocked. A Great RPG you must not miss.
I beat the Zelda: A Link between Worlds a few days ago. It is a serious must buy. I got my 3DS for SMT4, but you should get a 3DS to play this game.
For the holiday season I threw in snatcher for the sega cd. Completed it last night. Only if I could have got that date with Mika. Dumb wife getting into the way of things
Played it on the Xbox, haven't finnished it though. I actually consider that game a work of art with how the projectile patterns are and the effort needed to navigate through them unscathed. That always gave me such a kick. On the other hand I'm not a big shootemup fan so it's hard for me to tell what's what in that genre.
Ballpoint Universe (PC) = Platformer/Shootemup with the graphics all made with a ballpint pen. Platforming isnt great and the Shootemup segments arent spectacular either. Still, looks unique and it does have alot of customization options for your ship. Fun to try different weapons combinations, like full melee or melee/shield. Shot patterns are fairly tame compared to Treasure or Cave Shootemups.
I think I've only played Ikaruga from Treasure and that blew my mind visually and gameplay wise. It's super fun to play! But, I recall thinkîng it was too short and easy.. unless I played it on easy mode ^^
I just finished Portal 2 (single player mode). I've beaten it many times before, so I knew what to expect. It'd been a while since I'd played it, so there were some parts where I momentarily forgot what I was supposed to do. Nonetheless, I still completed the puzzles faster than I think I ever have before. It only took me a few days to complete, which is pretty fast by my standards. I still think it's a great game. I wish Valve would make a Portal 3 (in addition to HL3), though who knows when that might happen. I also finished Full Throttle a few days ago. I love that game. The humor and the style are great, as is to be expected from a Lucasarts adventure game. I've played it several times, but I think I've only beaten it once before. I had to use a guide for a lot of it - it would've taken a lot longer to complete if I hadn't used one. I learned the cheat you can use to instantly win the road battles, which makes that part of the game much less frustrating. I think my favorite part of the game is the little yellow bunnies, which look eerily similar to Pikachu (?!), though it came before Pokémon.
I just beat Super Metroid. Was actually my first time playing it. I yelled and cursed. A lot. Especially while learning to wall jump.
i've been running through a bunch on retro achievements, latest was ESWAT again but i finally beat Revenge of Shinobi without the girl dying! i know it's not that hard, but i fucked it up for years, haha...managed to save MJ from the Kingpin in the day with Spider-Man but never that one, for some reason.
Halo Reach. Was very meh for me. Slow paced, no real interest in the story. Audio/visuals were good but gameplay was lacking.
Skyrim, even this game has no ending I've finished the two main quests and the dragonborn DLC. This game is awesome with a few mods. One of the most beautiful games I've ever seen.
