Great choice. It'll look stunning on that Vita screen and touchscreen control of the firefly works better than using the right stick IMO (I have the Wii U version).
Beyond: Two Souls (PS3) Awesome graphics, great actors... I had great expectations when I heard of it. Unfortunately it had less interaction than those DOS/Win9x Hentai games... seriously. It should have been a (series of) movie(s).
Just finished Panzer Dragoon Zwei on the Saturn, and man, was it a great one. Cant wait to get a copy of Saga!
I haven't really played much as of late but here's my list: Yakuza: Dead Souls I love the Yakuza series and having all sorts of nods to some of my other favorite games was fantastic. I particularly enjoyed running around as Majima with some badass music just slaughtering everything. Actually, I really enjoyed playing all of the characters but it was pretty obvious that Kiryu was going to be somewhat overpowered given he IS the main lead of the series. My only complaint is the bloody dart game, I still suck at it after all of this time and I have to beat it to finish Haruka's bloody quests. Pokemon X I enjoyed playing this one when I was really quite ill with bronchitis on my holiday in America, it sadly didn't take me very long to complete and it seems to lack a further depth of replayability that I felt way back with Pokemon Gold and then Pokemon Diamond being the last couple of Pokemon games I've played. That said, I did like the improvements but the camera in Lumiose City was kinda dodgy at points. Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII.... AGAIN for who knows what time now. My PS1 saves have coloured, broken in-game clocks so I'm not even sure how many hours I've funneled into these two. VIII in particular. Am replaying them again on PC via Steam as I am also currently making some music and texture mods for both games.
I finished up Uncharted 1 a bit ago. A little rougher around the edges than I thought it would be, but a hell of a lot of fun. Recently played through the first chapter of DOOM as well. Always a blast.
just finished this gem, one of the few ps...1 games that's on par with a high-end a1200/cd32 game. :witless: lost MANY lives doing it legit! X2: No Relief (06:20 in for gameplay, the intro is damn cool though...and the soundtrack is smashing!) ... had to borrow sakura wars on the wii, couldn't progress on the ps2 version due to dvd9 image/dump incompatibilities on OPL/HDL...at present. it's at ratchet's chapter the BSOD happens. so with any luck, i can get through this game in full. the letdown is the english dub and BAD animation sync with the audio, it's why i opted for the ps2, i have the USA ps2 dual audio compilation...shared at ***! :smile-new: (just not able to play it as a romfile on the ps2 internal hdd..YET!) the wii does force one area of the goosestepper wand, it's when you're GOUGING EYES at a still scene/character, just there it seems. the classic controller takes up the slack as the ps2 pad would to it's version....which is nice! i'm hoping an undub is relzd like the ps2 version, but not too much though. (reality and that) the wii version does seem consistent with the ps2 english dubbed version, so can't complain... [edit] CAPCA$H had ZERO to do with X-2 no relief, that's an overseas relz, team17 written it and ocean published. (that's for the PAL-EUR relz anyway, guess CAPCA$H wanted a slice of the pie?!)
I just finished the first Ratchet and Clank game on the PS2. At this point, I think the graphics aged well, but the controls aren't quite up to today's standards. Now, to start the second game.
Classic Pandemic Studios (Australia) game. Large scenarios, fully desctructible and great action. My only complain is about the telekinetic stuff, its great but poorly implemented in some levels.
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood (PC) and Call of Juarez: Gunslinger (PC) Bound in Blood felt very average. None of the characters were likable, story didnt flow well, and the controls didnt feel very good, with all assist on or all assist off. 6/10 Gunslinger on the other hand was excellent. Cool protagonist, very neat storytelling mechanic, shooting mechanics feel great, and level design was very varied and entertaining. 9/10
Just finished Medal of Honor Airborne for the Xbox 360. It was a pain even on medium difficulty. It didn't help that the 360 version had a poor frame rate. Overall a decent WW2 game.
Last game I ever finished was Driver 2, in 2009. and oh, tbh.. that was a PS1 game. I however finished Burnout 3 Takedown with my friend, the 2nd time back in 2011.
Resident Evil DS version. Because I can't fucking stand the Director's Cut music used on the US version I have on my Vita. Never knew why everyone online complained about the music, we were lucky with the PAL version having the original music. No issues with the voice acting as I find it amusing, just the changed music makes me cringe so badly. I should actually get around to finishing Drag-on Dragoon 3 or the US release... Just felt like playing RE1 again before REmake comes out in Japan in November.
I've just started it, I haven't finished the 2nd one nor bought the 3rd one. IV is ok so far a bit disjointed.
Just beat Karate Kid for the nes. What I pain in the butt that was but still had a good time switching off with a friend to beat it.
Resident Evil 5 (PC) - Played this co-op. Its good for the most part. Some complaints are the lack of an attache case, a terrible "turret" sequence, and with the exception of the Flooded Village, none of the levels were all that interesting. Im not a Resident Evil fan so I wasnt particularly offended by it. Bionic Commando (2009) (PC) - This is a real tragedy. There is an awesome game here. Once you get a hang of the swing mechanics and get a handfull of combat moves, its a real blast to play. Unfortunately, its sandwiched inbetween a dull first hour and a dull last hour, and the game is only 5-6 hours long.
