Finished Borderlands 2. Twice! Been a while since I finished a game twice. Did my second play through as the mechromancer, a fun class, but I don't think they bug tested the final battle as this class. The second Jack becomes targetable, your robot kills him. Which aside from being anticlimactic (you don't get the will you kill him or will you let Lilith do it thing) causes an issue where Jacks's corpse gets stuck in the vault key and you can't activate it. I had to exit the area and come back to fix it!
Alien: Isolation (PC) Boy this games looks and runs great on my aging midrange pc. The game is amazing if your a fan of the films, which I am. Only downside is that it is a bit long. Took me around 16 hours, and it still did a good job of changing things up throughout to keep it interesting, but that last hour I just wanted it to end.
Luigi's Mansion.. I know I'm late on this one, but I have always wanted to sit down and play this. Fantastic game. Took about 20 hours to beat and was fun the whole time.
Finished Final Fantasy VIII & IX a bit ago. Working on FFX now. Definitely different, but I'm really enjoying it so far.
Just finished the main story of Watch Dogs, which is a phenomenal game. I will definitely be 100%ing it.
I'm at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo right now and I picked up some games for the dreamcast: Grandia II Resident Evil Code: Veronica Blue Stinger
Finished the first Borderlands again (mostly to play the DLC which I never originally played) I seem to be on a bit of a Borderlands kick. The game also seems a lot shorter than I remenber from the first time.
The three games I recently completed were red dead redemption and undead nightmare and grand theft auto 5.
Jamestown - had that pending long ago, just took an afternoon to sit through it in a couple of hours. Great shmup, loved the artwork. Only drawbacks are 2 of the 4 ships which are not so cool, I guess the other 4 you get with the DLC gotta be pretty slick. Also did not try coop but they say its loads of fun. Transistor - Awesome game, great combat system, a bit weird at first but you get the hang of it, great story and amazing artwork (everything hand-drawn art nouveau).
Bayonetta 2 - This was an amazing experience. I hadn't played the first game but decided to get this one after seeing the great reviews and reading what people thought about the demo. The gameplay is brilliant, I can't remember the last time that I played a game with such great combat. The game has great graphics and sound. The story is good. The lenght is also very good, this first playthrough took me 13h30 to finish it. I tried to get as many collectibles as possible. I can see some people spending much more time with it than my 13 hours. This game is so good that today I played around 3h30 straight. I usually play 1 or 1h30 hours before putting down the controller but today I couldn't. Everytime I started playing it and after some time turned off the console I got an urge to get back to it to continue playing it. This only happens when I really like the game. Bayonetta 2 is one of the best games released this year if not the best.
