Contrary to popular belief, there are other games besides Half Life.

Skip one, go for two is my recommendation. I'll probably be lynched but since release, I've never found Half Life 1 that great. It had some thrilling moments but I never liked it vs. other FPS. I think it's mostly the engine that gets the credit.

I think exactly the same, i never found HL1 groundbreaking as some people did.

Back on topic, i think that bioshock doesnt need a sequel, but a prequel (like the one they are making now) could be very interesting

Nor did I: in my case, I played (as in from beggining to end) HL1 well after playing HL2, CS 1.5, 1.6 and even CSS.

Plus is almost a pain having to play that game after HL2, the differences are HUGE.

Valve should make a good remake with source, and not that half-assed (get it?;-)) mod.

I was referring to sequels in general (for any game)for some reason, Shadowlayer referenced HL's sequels, which is something I understand about as much as I understand his average post.

    Space Giraffe on the 360.
Great game, but there's not much more you could do to improve it. Maybe tone down the psychedelic effects a tad for the noobs, but I digress.

Totally agree with you on that one. It was a superb game that I still go back to from time to time. The Oddworld series that the teams produced for the PS1 were also incredibly imaginative.

F-Zero needed a SNES sequel (and not that BS-X crap).

yes, the BS-X crap was ok though, in the sense that we at least got some of the effort put into the SNES sequel - better that than nothing.

1 Space Giraffe was too much. Worst game ever made.

    Worst game ever made? Hardly.

Ever played any of the LJN games on the NES? How about winners like GeomCube and Jupiter Strike on the PS1? Offhand I'd say those games are at least 5 times worse than Space Giraffe.

    Space Giraffe lets see

    migrane inducing visual check
    horrible 1992 techno check
    confusing gameplay check
    annoying sound effects check
    impossible achivements check
    unresponseive controls check

    Yep

    Worst game ever made.

It's tough, I'll give you that. But I'm a sucky gamer and even I could unlock 5 or 6 of the Achievements.
Controls are fine, they're better than they were on Tempest 3000. Not a game for everyone, but far from the worst.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I think Minter is a hack.
This wouldn't be the first flame war related to that shittastic game. But we're above that here.

while on the subject of hacks I also think Kojima is a hack

Indeed, everyone is entitled to their opinion, so you should both lay your arguments and let them do the fighting, not you!

No need to be aggressive or defensive! ;)

I agree 100%. He needs to quit acting like he makes videogames and just become a movie director already.
