Hey guys! Since I haven't written anything in this forum yet, I've decided to start this (hopefully) funny thread. So, do you have any games you actually love and all the others hate? xD I do, for example I have "Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy", a very pretty PS2 game and I do love it! A second one is called "L.A. Rush", a PS2 driving game full of bugs, but funny as hell! Third and last is "Soul Blade" a PS1 fighting game with an incredibly beauty soundtrack and great characters. Fans of "Soul Calibur" should know it.
Oh Yeah i'd remembered Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy! man i've haven't played that game in ages lol super obscure PS2 game IMO
I have a review copy of Sphinx still I think, was suppose to sell it to someone but it never worked out. Fun little game.
GoldenEye Rogue Agent -Not going to defend the title, but the game had very solid multiplayer, with some equally solid level design. The single player isn't so amazing, and the story is incredibly lame, but I still consider it a great FPS (afterall... Perfect Dark had a very underwhelming story, and that's still the best FPS of all time). Also, it has one of my favorite weapon rosters in any shooter to date. True Crime: New York City -One the buggiest games of the sixth generation, but the unpredictability of the experience makes it quite an entertaining sandbox game to play through, and the developers were kind/lazy enough to leave the debug menu in the game without even needing to hack it. Also, I figured out how to make people fly into the sky and vanish on command.
Sadly I'm not Charles Xavier so I don't have the ability to discover what the entire population of the world thinks about a certain game. The only way this could work is if I said I liked Superman 64, which I don't, so I'm out. But yeah didn't that other dude make a thread just like this a few weeks ago?
Sorry OP, but I (and many others) happen to love Soul Blade on the PS1, in fact when I first saw the JP version it was the game that convinced me to buy a PS1. I have also played and enjoyed L.A. Rush quite a bit, the XBOX version I'll admit, but it's also full of bugs, so I'll assume it's pretty close to the PS2 game. Because of the above examples I have to conclude this thread is pointless, or should at least be retitled; "Semi-popular games I like but maybe you don't.... Or maybe you do, I have no real way of knowing".
When Soul Blade came out and I was a child, I got fascinated by its trailer and soon bought it. Anyway it had to face too many fighting games which were considered technically better, see Tekken or Street Fighter or Virtua Fighter. Of course it was a great game, but as far as I know it couldn't get the fortune it actually deserved a in that time. Almost here where I live. In fact I can say that here quite everybody knows Soul Calibur, but quite nobody knows Soul Blade. Perhaps where you live it was rightly recognised as one of the best fighting games of those times, but sadly not here. Anyway this thread is meant to be pointless, I just wanted to have a talk and know some members. I couldn't believe that it could annoy somebody because of it. Well then, I'm sorry. I promise I won't open a similar thread anymore.
I'm sorry, I didn't notice that someone else had already started a similar discussion, my fault. By the way you obviously don't have to be Xavier! I'm talking about my personal experience and as you can see somebody else doesn't agree with me! It belongs to the game. XD
Hahah, sorry... should have said "in my opinion." What I mean is, I say it's the best FPS of all time.
Also Bio Freaks wasn't that bad either though not the best fighter but pretty enjoyable renter or just to add to your collection or over to a friend or cousins house just for the hell of it.
You got the point, it was a good fighting game back then. Even though I kinda hated it because I sucked. xD
