Well, I think those are all of ASSEMblergames users.

    Should this be a sticky?

Project X(Amiga): So difficult but so good!

    Sonic 3 + S&K: "24Megs" of locked on pleasure.

Final Fantasy VII: Skipped school dinners for a whole month so I could rent it everyday at £2 a go...got to disc three then bought it for my birthday (it never dawned on me to save up for it with the lunch money).

Alundra: The puzzles and storyline with rock hard gameplay kept me hooked.

Command and Conquer red alert: Me and a mate used to draw strategic maps in our school books on the bus in the mornings!

    Counterstrike source: Still hooked today!!

    Catch! Touch! Yoshi! [NDS]

Best NDS gaming to date, period. The replay value in this is excellent. Got a competition going with my wife for the top spot in Endless mode. She's currently no. 1 with 16,000+ meters. I wish more games could be like this. It gets increasingly difficult without having an ending. It's all about improving your scores.

    Past addictions:

    Tetris [GB]
    Galaga [arcade]
    Pinball Wani '66 [GB]
    Ridge Racer [PS1]
    Dragon's Revenge [MD]
Bio Hazard 4 [GC] (mercenary mode score attack only)
    Bank Panic [arcade]
    Raiden Project [PS1]
    Beatmania series [PS1]
    Dance Dance Revolution series [PS2]

Oh, I almost forgot about one of the best beat-your-score games ever:

Mr. Driller series [brilliant on all systems it appears on]

Shenmue (DC) - so vast, so immersive, I still find "new" details in it each time I play through and I've had this game since it launched. Very few games can convey atmosphere as well as Shenmue does.

Bionic Commando (NES) - my all time fav NES game. And for good reason.

I spent SO much time on these three in particular

Super Aleste (Super Famicom) - To this day I'm still amazed how much the programmers "worked the processor" as I say it. This shooter has it all, great graphics, fun gameplay, cool weapons, awesome sounds, tasteful use of Mode 7 and all that with just 3.14Mhz, amazing. Great shooter, one of the best IMHO.

Parodius (Super Famicom) I loved this game for much of the same reasons as Super Aleste, Near perfect arcade port too.

Puyo-Puyo (Mega Drive) - Not only is this a seemingly simple puzzle, its a blast 2p and girls loved to play it :)

It's quite a bump, but hell, not a bad topic.
The only ones I'd scrub from here are Chrono Trigger and C:SotN since I've been back to them over the last year, and while I love them, I'm pretty much done with them at this stage. The rest still make me want to go back to them, they just keep on giving.

Over the last couple of days I've been surprisingly hooked on Dungeon Keeper. I'd forgotten how good that game was.

If I combined the total playtime of all my save files in my several Romance of the Three Kingdoms X versions, it would be around 200-300 hours. I never get tired of unifying China for some reason. Usually, to extend the fun in unifying China, I'll take over a bunch of provinces, then resign and start a new force and retake everything all over again up til my character dies from old age.

Also, the custom characters keep things fresh. My favorite is to unify China as Bill Cosby, and usurp the throne.

ALL HAIL THE EMPEROR OF JELLO!

Hmm, if I were to reply to this, I think I'd discover the post limit for the first time!

You're probably talking 100 games just on the Spectrum. I mean, I got my first Spectrum around 1984 and I was still playing on a Spectrum in Grammar School like 8 years later. On top of that, I could name games for Atari 2600, Lynx, Jaguar, NES, SNES, N64, Game Cube, Game Boy, GBA, DS, Master System, Mega Drive, Saturn, Dreamcast, Game Gear, Arcade, PC, handheld LCD games, Amstrad CPC, Amstrad PCW.... and I'm probably forgetting some systems!

    In no real order:

    K240 (Amiga)
    Libertation: Captive 2 (Amiga)
    The Settlers (Amiga)
    Destruction Derby 2 (PSX)
    Gran Turismo (PSX)
    GTA (PSX)
    Deus Ex (PC)
    [Open] Transport Tycoon Deluxe (PC)
    Team Fortress Classic (PC)
    Total Annihilation (PC)
    Valkyria Chronicals (PS3)

I've been obsessed with all of these at various points in my life, losing huge amounts of time to each game. :)
