Recently just moved around some stuff in my "media" room. It's still quite plain and quite a mess when I took these photos. The room from the entrance. Here you can see my desktop PC in the corner with printer, scanner etc. Oh, and my very comfortable gaming chair from IKEA. These are the consoles I use the most. They're all connected to the TV via RGB (via the XRGBmini Framemeister) / HDMI and all run through the Dolby Digital / DTS 5.1 cinema system. Consoles are Mega Drive, Saturn, Dreamcast, Super Famicom and Xbox 360 Elite. Other stuff connected to the TV are a Acer laptop on top of the DVD player which is on top of the BluRay Player. The games I really like are kept in the gaming closet. In here are Saturn, Mega Drive and Super Famicom games along with a few box sets and stuff on the top shelf. The white tub things are moisture evaporators. They contain special stones that trap water from the air which collects below. These keep the games nice and dry. My 360 games and a few Mega CD and Dreamcast games are kept in this display case next to the hardware. Most of my other games are in boxes in the bed room. All my controllers and stuff are kept in these handy black tidy boxes. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
I use these too to keep the games dry. The bad thing is that they are not cheap. I also use "silica sachet" inside all console boxes.
Me too, I re-use the small and medium sized silica bags that come with backpacks, inside electronic stuff boxes, etc., and have them laid out on my game shelves inside the closet, and also throw a couple inside my boxes full of controllers. Should get a better Yakumo-like solution though, that surely sucks up all the humidity.
@ Tochin, that XBOX receiver is actually a Pioneer 5.1 wireless headphone reciver. I don't actually have the head phones for it any more because I now use a very good pair of BOSE headphones with it. Sure, the BOSE aren't wireless (they use the receiver's output jack) but sound awesome as if you're really their. Well worth the money. The reason I still use it is because the headphone out on my TV is really low for some reason. So I take the audio from the TV (everything goes in to the TV, all consoles, BluRay, DVD, laptop) via a digital cable to the receiver. Then I can have quality audio without having to move any wires. To me, audio is just as important as image quality. Those water absorbency containers are actually very cheap in Japan. A pack of 4 is about 280 yen. That's about the same as 2 cans of coke. I have them next to my DLRS camera and lenses, storage room and basically anywhere that has collectibles. The water absorbency containers really work. In summer you can see water collect in those things in just a day.
Wow, glad I am in arizona, no worries for the moisture, but but dust and UV are a different matter. Also I can't store most anything with value in the attic, because when it's 120*F outside, its 140-160*F in the attic. Stuff strait up melts. Additionally if there is an object you may want out of the attic (that's not prone to melt); its not very habitable to enter the attic in the summer for more than 3-4 minutes, to grab what you need and go. Basically clothes and holiday ornaments go up there.
Here is my old set up from last year.. I got the TV for free off my friend he was throwing it out, it barley fit in my SUV!
Here's my current setup (sorry for the grainy picture): That "desk" is temporary. Still working on finishing out the other rooms in my house until I can buy myself something nice
Wish i could keep my apartment as cleans as yours. Damn construction sites in the whole neighbourhood. lol
Yeah, it's a nice case. Though, it was much nicer in 2009 than today. I still love it for its aesthetics, but the interior is just plain outdated. It's seen many upgrades, but I think my next PC will be a full blown new build, with a new case that has better cable routing and airflow.
I would say it's more a black and green thing than it is an nvidia thing. Performance and price being nearly equal between nvidia's and ATi's top video cards, I go with my favorite color scheme
Ok first of all sorry about the quality, I could replace my phone with a toaster and it would probably work better as a camera. image limit You get the drift though
This is how I play PC Engine. On my laptop. My 2 favorites pieces of hardware, married together in wedded bliss. Also, the plot to Gekisha Boy is really weird...
