Haha, well at least he did start cleaning it up and that he did actually take some photos. ... It's going to be quite some time before I put up some photos as I'll be most likely moving over to the US so that means I need to move my entire Clock Tower and Drakengard collections over. That's going to lead to some interesting photos. Clock Tower, Drakengard and all of my RPG stuff versus my partner's Metal Gear/Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil and Silent Hill stuff. Not even counting whatever amount of combined retro stuff we have... I'm dreading putting everything into order as that means I have to make a hardcopy log of everything, condition it's in and amount of copies of them before I put it all into alphabetical, chronological (per release) order per series or console before I then make a digital copy of my log of it as well. But it will be nice to have some of my stuff out and on display since it's been mainly kept in boxes and drawers since I've had no room for stuff. Though I'm going to have to be the one to decide on the cabinets and stuff to actually store everything in since I can't stand having power cords and crap hanging out EVERYWHERE (that and I'm really clumsy so I trip over shit like that all the time) like at the moment since I've been using the Ikea bookcases (black), horizontally instead of vertically but the stuff that's in them at the moment is nowhere near the full amount of stuff we have so I'd feel ashamed to put up a shitty picture so far compared to some of the set ups I've seen in the topic so far! >_<; Moving my collection is what I'm honestly not really wanting to have to do nor am I looking forward to it, so I may need some tips on how to go about it because it's driving me insane. Argh!
Moved to a new home... improved my game room )) Finally found a 29" reference monitor Sony PVM-2950Q. It replaced my Sony 38" triniton. Almost all my systems uses RGB with official cables. I'm using isolated transformers for the consoles and the monitor. Anything that can't get RGB from it uses s-video, like the atari 2600, 5200, 7800. All the rest uses RGB. Including the NES. Almost all systems uses flash based cartridges. The NeoGeo MVS collection is almost complete, missing only 35 titles of 152
My humble new set up, enjoy! The iCrap is used for XBMC (Windows 7), connected to tv via HDMI and optical audio to the receiver. I like to just come in and pick a game and play. The TV is a 42" 3D teac LED display, Audio is a 5.1 Accent Acoustics kit with a 300w(I think) powered sub, running off a Pioneer VSX-321 600W receiver (Also acts as a HDMI switch).
I bought a new shelf for the SFc games today and gave the retro game closet a clean up. This isn't all of my stuff. I have a lot more stored away in boxes. This is the stuff I like to use mostly.
The pics aren't very good but they will do for now: I've ran out of space for my consoles so I'm not displaying my PS1, my Test PS2 and my Xbox Debug. I'm planning to get new shelves for the games this year and to put my tv on the wall so that I can get more free space for the consoles. At least I already got the PS4 and the Xbone.
Nice! What piece of furniture is that on the wall Galdius? (and how does it keep so many games without coming off the wall XD )
Those are custom made shelves that have little support beneath some of the rows. I will try to get some pics tomorrow when there is day light and the photo gets clearer.
